We are very happy to note that the graduates have already added a vivid page to the history of our University. Undoubtedly, our graduates will move forward in the future, developing the economy in the Kharkov Region and in Ukraine”- said Prof. Yevgen Sokol, rector of NTU “KhPI”, Doctor of Engineering Sciences and the Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Prof. Yevgen Sokol and Yuliya Svitlychna, chairwoman of the Kharkov Regional Public Administration (KRPA) presented the best students, in particular the winners of competitions, students’ Olympiads, scientific conferences and the campaigners of the sporting and cultural activities of the University with the diplomas. “KhPI is the brand and the mark of quality” –stressed the manager of the region Yuliya Svitlychna –I believe that the title of a “KhPI” graduate will do honor to each former student. I wish everyone to identify your own type in your life, work towards the maturity and find a job that will give financial and moral satisfaction. I wish your parents, your teachers and the Kharkov region were proud of you!”
As a chairwoman of KRPA, Yuliya Svitlychna gave also the Certificates of Gratitude to the two best graduates in 2017, in particular a multiple winner of Ukrainian Olympiads Andrey Danyliuk who is also a holder of the scholarship of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Olga Sukhina, a nominative holder of the scholarship of the President of Ukraine.
After the solemn award of the diplomas the graduates of NTU “KPI” shared their recollections and the plans for the future.
“We are in good spirits, because today we received our long-expected diplomas. I studied oil and gas engineering at KhPI and now I have to take a decision either to take the postgraduate course and continue my studies or proceed to business” – said Abdulla Azmi (Sudan), a graduate from the Department for Organic Substance Technologies, sharing his plans for the future.
Elena Yaroshenko a graduate from the Faculty of Business and Finances (Department for the Intercultural Communication and Foreign Language) shared her impressions “The most unusual circumstance is always new people you meet, teachers that gave lectures to us and held master-classes. These are the owners of companies, journalists, producers, presenters and the operators. They always bring in their tiny but rather weighty particle to our future profession and life”.
It is sad to part with the Polytechnic, -said Liudmyla Bezuglaia, a graduate from the Department for Automatics and Instrument-Making – I took an active part in amateur performances that were arranged by the Students’ Palace at NTU “KhPI” and I participated in the cultural work among the masses. I have many friends here; therefore I will come back to my native University”.
A zest of the festivities was the festive concert that was granted to the audience by creative teams of the Students’ Palace of KhPI, the bands “Ukraine”, “Polyfonia”, Suziria”, “Triumph” and the vocal show-band “ Suziria”, A. Petrosian chamber choir, “Polytechnic” Theater and the circus art studio “Benefis”. The graduates of 2017 also appeared on the stage. They played parts, joked and danced… those were their farewell performances of the students of Polytechnic. Now they are qualified specialists. All the best, dear friends!
