NTU «KhPI» united more than two hundred scientists at the international conference ICAI-2025

Kharkiv Polytechnic traditionally organized the International Scientific and Technical Conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence» (ICAI-2025). The forum was held jointly with the Donbas State Machine Building Academy (DSBA, Kramatorsk-Ternopil). The event was held in online and offline formats in three locations: Kharkiv, Ternopil and Zbarazh Castle in Ternopil region. The conference was attended by more than two hundred scientists, experts and students from eight cities of Ukraine. The Program Committee of the scientific forum was headed by Professor Magomediemin  Gasanov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of NTU «KhPI».

The program committee of the conference also included Professor Viktor Kovalev, Rector of Donbass State Machine-Building Academy; Professor Oleksandr Zakovorotnyi, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Programming at NTU «KhPI»; and Professor Yana Vasylchenko, Head of the Department of Computerized Mechatronic Systems, Tools and Technologies at DSMA. This year, more than two hundred scientists, experts and students from eight cities of Ukraine took part in the Informatics, Management and Artificial Intelligence forum. These cities are Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kramatorsk, Lviv, Sumy, and Ternopil.

The plenary and six sectional sessions of the ICAI-2025 conference featured more than one hundred reports by representatives of twenty higher education institutions, companies and enterprises. The forum participants presented their research in the fields of information technology, control systems, and artificial intelligence in Ukrainian and English. They paid special attention to the practical application of the latest developments, interdisciplinary interaction, and prospects for the development of digital technologies.

In particular, the scientists from Mariupol State University focused on monitoring the regular fuel supply settings under conditions of incomplete information. In turn, scientists from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University and Lviv Polytechnic National University presented the structure of a decision support system for analyzing thyroid pathologies. Representatives of Sumy State University familiarized the conference participants with the development of an autonomous system for the automatic return of the platform to its original location in case of loss of communication. Scientists from the O. Honchar Dnipro National University told their colleagues about the possibilities of increasing the sensitivity of halftone image segmentation based on type-2 fuzzy transformations. Scientists from NTU «KhPI» devoted their reports to the use of genetic algorithms in the synthesis of smart automatic control systems, as well as modeling the error of part basing in the composite design of machine tools of modular construction.

The conference was held in three locations: Kharkiv, Ternopil, and Zbarazh Castle in Ternopil region, allowed not only to expand the geography of its participants, but also to create a unique working atmosphere. The organizers of the ICAI-2025 conference emphasized the importance of developing scientific contacts between the regions of Ukraine and international partners, and expressed their gratitude to everyone who joined the event. They note that despite the martial law in Ukraine, the forum gathers many participants every year.

Note:

The conference Informatics, Management and Artificial Intelligence-2025 (ICAI-2025) was organized in six sections: «Information Technologies. Software and Applications»; «Application of Computing in Transport, Medicine and Engineering»; «Modeling and Optimization of Complex Systems»; «Modeling and Optimization in Mechanical Engineering»; «Information Protection and Cybersecurity»; and «Technology and Development of Computer Games». It was held on 14-16 May, 2025. The conference was attended by representatives of the following Ukrainian higher education institutions:

State University of Trade and Economics (Kyiv); Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University; Lviv Polytechnic National University; Donbas State Engineering Academy (Kramatorsk-Ternopil); Sumy State University; Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University; O. Honchar Dnipro National University; Mariupol State University (Kyiv); Bogomolets National Medical University (Kyiv); V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University; Kharkiv University; Kharkiv State University; Kharkiv University of Economics and Technology (Kharkiv); and University of Economics and Technology (Kharkiv).

The organizers of ICAI-2025 are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», and Donbas State Machine-Building Academy.

The conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence» was launched in 2014. Its first organizers were NTU «KhPI», the Department of Computer Science and Programming of the university. It started as an intra-university conference aimed at students, masters and postgraduate students of NTU «KhPI». The focus of the conference, related to information technology, management of complex technical systems, mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence, attracted the attention of scientists from Ukraine and countries near and far abroad. As a result, since 2015, the conference has become an all-Ukrainian event, and since 2016 – an international one.
