In the spring semester of 2025, four students of Kharkiv Polytechnic studied at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko University of Technology in Krakow (Poland). Ilya Davydenko, Maksym Nechytailo, Yuriy Ostroverkh, and Oleksiy Hrytsenko attended lectures and practical classes and performed laboratory work with pleasure. The boys mastered Ansys, AutoCAD, NeiNastran, CATIA v5, Autodesk Fusion, MSC Adams, and studied CNC technology. The trip of Kharkiv Polytechnics to the Polish university was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program of the European Union
Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI» shared their impressions after completing a semester of study at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko University of Technology in Krakow (Poland). Ilya Davydenko and Maksym Nechytailo from the Department of Hoisting and Transport Machines and Equipment of NTU «KhPI», Yuriy Ostroverkh from the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology and Metal Cutting Machines of NTU «KhPI» and Oleksiy Hrytsenko from the Department of Automotive and Tractor Engineering of NTU «KhPI» say that the educational process at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko University of Technology in Krakow was interesting and intense.
So, before the start of the academic semester, students of NTU «KhPI» met with the coordinator of the Erasmus+ program, they were helped to understand the schedule, told about the location of buildings in a Polish higher education institution, and oriented in university life. According to the boys, they were pleasantly surprised by the openness and friendliness of the teachers, who are fluent in English and are always ready to explain the material again and answer all their questions. The Kharkiv Polytechnic students had the opportunity to choose their subjects independently and use the recommendations of their teachers. They were happy to attend lectures and practical classes and do laboratory work. The guys say that they often worked in teams, which helped to establish communication with students from different countries. During their studies, Kharkiv Polytechnic students mastered Ansys, AutoCAD, NeiNastran, CATIA v5, Autodesk Fusion, MSC Adams, and studied CNC technology. After each lesson, the teachers sent study materials, which made preparing for exams and tests very convenient. Kharkiv Polytechnic students note that they have gained valuable practical experience that will definitely come in handy in the future.
The students of NTU «KhPI» were also impressed by the hospitality of the Krakow University of Technology. They were quickly settled in a dormitory with comfortable conditions: a modern kitchen, a convenient laundry room, etc. During the adaptation week, they were organized interesting excursions around Krakow. The guys visited the old center, learned a lot about the history of the city and discovered its unique architectural monuments. «This trip has become an important part of our student life. The Erasmus+ program has opened up new opportunities, acquaintances and inspired us to further development. We are grateful to NTU «KhPI» for their support! And although we are from different specialties and are not classmates, this trip united us and became an important stage in both personal and professional growth,» the students of NTU «KhPI» share their impressions.
