In the spring and summer of 2025, a team of employees from Kharkiv Polytechnic University carried out extensive work to promote the university among prospective students in Germany, Poland, and Austria. On the initiative and under the leadership of NTU «KhPI» Rector Yevgen Sokol and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Ruslan Mygushchenko, a series of meetings with applicants and their parents was organized in key European cities: Magdeburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warsaw, and Vienna, where a presentation of NTU «KhPI» was also held in cooperation with local Ukrainian communities. Special attention was paid to the updated DSG2neo double degree program, which in 2025 received support from the DAAD, the leading academic organization of the Federal Republic of Germany. These results were an important step forward for NTU «KhPI» in strengthening its position in the international educational arena.
«Applicants are looking not just for a place to study, but for support and confidence in the future. And it is NTU «KhPI» that can provide this,» emphasizes Denis Meshkov, head of the educational center «German Technical Faculty». With this in mind, throughout the spring and summer, a team of university staff held dozens of individual meetings with prospective students and their families in Germany, Poland, and Austria.
During these meetings, applicants asked the most important questions that concern young people in today’s world. Will the chosen specialty be in demand in four years? What is the practical value of a double degree? Who will help students find their way during the first stages of studying in another country? And most importantly, where can they find an environment that not only provides knowledge but also supports them during the most responsible period of their lives?
Representatives of NTU «KhPI» provided specific, honest, and well-founded answers to all these questions. After all, Kharkiv Polytechnic is not just a diploma, it is an educational environment that shapes a new generation of engineers and managers with a focus on the modern European labor market. It is a place where every student receives not only knowledge, but also support, confidence, opportunities for development, and a path to an international career. This format of sincere, personal conversation with the university is the best argument in favor of choosing NTU «KhPI». And it really changes the future.
During presentations in European cities, special attention was paid to the updated DSG2neo double degree program, which in 2025 received support from DAAD, a leading academic organization in the Federal Republic of Germany. This was an important step in strengthening the partnership between NTU «KhPI» and the German university OVGU, and also opens up new opportunities for talented Ukrainian students. A unique advantage of the program is that the best DSG2neo students can receive individual funding from DAAD, which fully or partially covers the costs of living and studying in Germany. This allows them to focus on what is most important – quality education at two universities, academic development, and intercultural experience, without additional financial difficulties. «DSG2neo is not just about a diploma from two countries. It is about trust, support, and the opportunity to realize your full potential. That is why interest in the program is growing every year, and it rightfully occupies a central place in the international strategy of the NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,» notes Denis Meshkov.
Thus, spring and summer 2025 have become yet another confirmation that NTU «KhPI» is not just an educational institution, but an ambitious and responsible player in the international educational arena. We have proven that a Ukrainian technical university can be modern, open, flexible, and globally oriented.
