NTU «KhPI» organized the 15th International Scientific and Practical Conference «Integrated Strategic Management, Portfolio, Program, Project Management» (Integrated Management-2025). This scientific forum was held by Kharkiv Polytechnic together with the Project Management Associations and universities of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The presentations of the conference participants were devoted to the peculiarities of project management in the green economy; the use of generative artificial intelligence in project management; investment project management under uncertainty, etc. The event brought together more than eighty scientists from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Benin, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Japan. The conference was held in English in a remote format.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference «Integrated Strategic Management, Portfolio, Program, Project Management» (Integrated Management-2025) was opened by the Rector of NTU «KhPI», Professor Yevgen Sokol. In his speech, he noted that its main goal is to obtain a synergistic effect from four powerful sciences in the field of management. The rector expressed confidence that scientists will continue to make their worthy contribution to the defense capability and further development of Ukraine. The scientific forum brought together more than 80 scientists from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Benin, Bulgaria, Turkey and Japan.
In his presentation, Hiroshi Tanaka, a professor from Japan, discussed the features of project management and modeling in the «green» economy, and explained how they differ from traditional projects. The famous scientist was the founder and president of the «Project Management Association of Japan». In 2009, together with the President of the Ukrainian Project Management Association, Professor Serhii Bushuyev, he conducted trainings for teachers and students of NTU «KhPI». As for the report of the President of the International Alliance of the Industrial Artificial Intelligence Association, Professor Çetin Elmas (Turkey), it was dedicated to the application of generative artificial intelligence in project management. Professor Serhii Bushuyev continued this topic in his presentation «How to change the landscape of strategic management in the artificial intelligence environment?» For his part, Professor Igbal Babayev, President of the Azerbaijan Project Management Association, together with his colleagues, presented the paper «Investment Project Management in the Face of Uncertainty». Dr. Kostadin Kolarov, Director of the Institute of Entrepreneurship at the Sofia University of National and World Economy, spoke about the transfer of knowledge and technology from universities to business in Bulgaria: status, problems, and possible solutions.
Ihor Kononenko, member of the organizing committee and chairman of the «Integrated Management-2025» program committee, professor of the Department of Project Management in Information Technology at NTU «KhPI», shared with the conference participants his experience of working together with scientists from Ukraine and Azerbaijan to formalize the formation of a project team, taking into account the roles that its members can play. Professor Maryna Novozhylova, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at the O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy, spoke about planning green areas in modern cities as an integral part of their sustainable development. The report of Dr. Maximilien Kpodjedo, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Benin on Information Technology, a graduate of the KPI postgraduate program, was devoted to the features of project, program, and portfolio management in his country.
At the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Integrated Strategic Management, Portfolio, Program, Project Management-2025», postgraduate students of the Department of Project Management in Information Technology of Kharkiv Polytechnic Oleksandr Lysenko, Vladyslav Malyarenko, and Mykyta Shaposhnikov also spoke.

XV International Scientific and Practical Conference «Integrated Strategic Management, Portfolio, Program, Project Management» was held online on 11-12 February, 2025 in English. It was organized by: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Ukrainian Project Management Association, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan Project Management Association. Since 2010, the forum has been initiated by the Department of Project Management in Information Technology at Kharkiv Polytechnic.
Geography of the International scientific and practical conference «Integrated strategic management, portfolio management, program management, Projects» is quite extensive. In 2014, it was held in Bansko (Bulgaria). This conference was attended by the Vice President of the European Council for Small Business in Bulgaria (ECSB).

In 2021, the participants of the «Integrated Management» came to one of the most picturesque places in the Ukrainian Carpathians – the village of Slavske, Lviv region.
The Department of Project Management in Information Technology of NTU «KhPI» trains full-time bachelors in the specialty 122-«Computer Science» in the educational program «Computer Science» in the specialization: «Project management in the field of information technology», as well as masters of full-time and part-time study in the specialty 122-«Computer Science» in the educational program ‘Project management in the field of information technology’. The department was established in 2000. It brings together specialists with many years of experience in the field of modeling, methods, information technology forecasting, strategic management, portfolio, program, and project management. The department’s staff has extensive experience in consulting and training for business and government agencies.
