Mustafa Helvaci, a counselor to the President of Turkey paid a visit to NTU “KhPI”. A purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the University and negotiate prospects of educational, scientific and engineering cooperation.
During talks KhPI was represented by Prof. Yevgen Sokol, rector of the University, vice rectors Prof. Andriy Marchenko, Eldar Veliev and Ruslan Mygushchenko, heads of the departments prof. Dmitriy Volontsevich (Department for Information Technologies and the Systems of Wheeled and Track-Type Machines), Prof. Vladimir Pylov (Department for Internal Combustion Engines), Prof. Vadym Samorodov (Department for Automobile and Tractor Industry), Prof. Vitaliy Epifanov (dean of the Department for the Transport Engineering). Aleksandr Goncharov, the chief of the Department for International Relations of NTU “KhPI” was also present during talks.
Participants of the meeting discussed opportunities for the realization of exchange programs for the students and teachers of NTU “KhPI” and the institutions of higher education in Turkey. They also gave consideration to the prospects of joint cooperation in the field of research. With regard to talks, we expect that the Memorandum on Cooperation will be signed in the nearest future.
“Joint activities in the field of science and cooperation backed up by Turkish partners will give a push to the advance of our education. We are greatly interested in the experience gained by institutions of higher education and research centers in Turkey in the field of commercialization of research studies” – stressed Prof. Yevgen Sokol, rector of the University, After talks, Mustafa Helvasi visited the history museum of NTU “KhPI”, scientific library, laboratory of the Department for Internal Combustion Engines and the Guards Military Training Department named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
