KhPI won a large-scale EU competition for the development of digital education

NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» as part of an international consortium won the competition of the European Union Erasmus+ program aimed at developing potential in the field of higher education. The four-year project «Digital University — Open Ukrainian Initiative (DigiUni)», in which NTU «KhPI» participates, provides for the creation of a highly effective digital educational ecosystem for distance and inclusive learning. In total, the project partners are twenty-five institutions from Ukraine, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain and Belgium.

The DigiUni project covers all educational levels — aimed at the development of adult education, as well as their lifelong learning through the acquisition of formal, non-formal and informative digital education. The beneficiaries of the project from the EU are Ukrainian students and employees, many of whom are displaced within Ukraine and beyond. DigiUni will ensure the continuity of education for students studying in Ukrainian universities, in the Ukrainian language and according to the Ukrainian curriculum. In particular, DigiPlatform will offer a digital learning tool for developing training methods for online education and adapting of the educational content for online or virtual delivery.

One of the priorities of the participants within the DigiUni project is to influence the processes of digital transformation of education in the modern conditions of martial law by creating an integrated digital educational ecosystem in Ukraine. This is necessary to ensure continuous, high-quality, inclusive and transparent education, regardless of the location of the student and teacher, using existing digital innovations in the field of education and a ready-made model for engaging future innovations.
