Kharkiv Polytechnics immersed into the events of DSMIE Summer School-2024

Students of Kharkiv Polytechnic took part in the DSMIE Summer School-2024 International Summer Science School in an online format. During their studies, master’s student Emiliia Saprykina, first-year students Yurii Ostroverkh and Igor Velichko joined the 7th International Conference «Design, Modeling, Production: Innovation Exchange», which took place in Plzen, Czech Republic. Future engineers from NTU «KhPI» were also invited to attend educational seminars from renowned scientists from leading European universities. The events were devoted to the issues of innovations in engineering and technology in the fields of engineering, mechanical and chemical engineering.

Students of the department «Technology of mechanical engineering and metal-cutting machines» of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI» took part in the International Summer Scientific School DSMIE-2024 in an online format. Master student Emiliia Saprykina, first-year students Yurii Ostroverkh and Ihor Velychko actively participated in the 7th International Conference «Design, Modeling, Production: Innovation Exchange» (Plzen, Czech Republic). The forum brought together scientists from Portugal, Italy, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Romania, and others. The conference participants discussed innovations in engineering and technology in the fields of engineering, mechanics, and chemical engineering.

Future engineers from Kharkiv Polytechnic also received new knowledge at educational seminars from well-known scientists from leading European universities. Bogdan Gaidabrus, professor at Riga Technical University (Latvia), told the students about industrial flexibility, and Katarzyna Antos, professor at the Rzeszow University of Technology (Poland), told them about the theory and practice of machine learning.

We would like to note that after the Summer School, students of NTU «KhPI» formed their detailed feedback on received knowledge and skills, which they will use in their further studies.

«Participation in the DSMIE Summer School-2024 allowed us to prove ourselves, find something new and interesting in applied mechanics and industrial engineering, and get inspiration for our own scientific achievements,» students of Kharkiv Polytechnic shared their impressions.
