Recently, the rector of NTU «KhPI», Professor Yevgen Sokol, held several meetings with students of Kharkiv Polytechnic who are studying under double diploma programs at the RWTH Aachen University of Technology. About twenty students of NTU «KhPI» participating in the double diploma program with RWTH had the opportunity to talk with the leadership of both universities: Rector of Kharkiv Polytechnic Yevgen Sokol and Head of the Innovation Campus and Professor of RWTH Ulrik Schrader.
Rector Yevgen Sokol welcomed the students and emphasized how important it is to obtain international experience in order to develop Ukraine. For his part, Professor Schrader added that the program is constantly improving, and the university is making every effort to support students, from financial issues to organizational issues. At the end of the meeting, students of Kharkiv Polytechnic could ask all their questions and get direct answers from the administration.
Students of NTU «KhPI» note that the double diploma program with RWTH is a unique opportunity for Ukrainian students. This is the first such cooperation between RWTH and a Ukrainian university, which opens the door to one of the best technical universities in Europe. RWTH Aachen provides NTU «KhPI» with a fixed number of places each year and a simplified admission procedure, which makes the program even more accessible to Ukrainian students. So now they can get education simultaneously in Ukraine and Germany, getting acquainted with the latest technologies and approaches. «This program demonstrates endless opportunities for our students! They will return to Ukraine with new knowledge and ideas to help develop our country,» says Veronika Krygina, a student of the double diploma program.
