NTU «KhPI» — among the TOP- 5 most popular universities among postgraduate students in Ukraine

According to the results of the admission campaign, the National Technical University «KhPI» continues to hold a leading position among higher education institutions in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv Polytechnic University is among the top five Ukrainian universities chosen by state-funded postgraduate students in 2025. This once again confirms the high level of trust that young scientists have in NTU «KhPI» and its status as one of the leaders in technical education in Ukraine.

According to the results of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the State Enterprise «INFORESURS», which were recently published, the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» entered the TOP-5 in popularity among graduate students, ranking fourth among domestic higher education institutions (156 people enrolled). In addition to NTU «KhPI» in the top five universities in Ukraine chosen by graduate students are: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, NTUU  «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Lviv Polytechnic National University, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. In total, more than 12.000 people applied for postgraduate studies, more than 11.000 of whom applied for state-funded places. 4.600 people were enrolled.

The ranking of specialties by popularity among postgraduate students is as follows:

  • Computer science
  • Economics and international economic relations
  • Medicine
  • Educational sciences
  • Electronics, electronic communications, instrument engineering, and radio engineering
  • Automation, computer-integrated technologies, and robotics
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Biology and biochemistry
  • Construction and civil engineering
  • Software engineering

We should remained that according to the QS World University Rankings 2025, NTU «KhPI» ranked 4th among Ukrainian higher education institutions and is among the top 66% of universities in the world (position 1001–1200).
