Note:
QS World University Rankings: Sustainability measures universities’ contributions to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The ranking assesses the social and environmental impact of universities as centers of education and research, as well as powerful employers. In addition, the ranking reflects the ability of universities to overcome the management challenges faced by any large and complex organization. British analysts QS introduced this ranking in 2022 in response to the growing needs of higher education and society for sustainable development.
The ranking methodology includes indicators such as environmental sustainability (environmental education, environmental research, environmental sustainability), social impact (employment and success, equality, health and well-being, impact of education, knowledge sharing), and university management efficiency and transparency. Global universities are evaluated in three main categories: «Environmental Impact,» «Social Impact,» and «Governance». Each category has specific subcategories related to educational process algorithms, research work, knowledge exchange, learning comfort, and further employment opportunities for students. The ranking is based on data from independent surveys, as well as information provided by the World Bank, the UN, and other global organizations.
