NTU «KhPI» ranked 9th among Ukrainian higher education institutions in terms of value for money in the Best Value World Rankings. The list includes 8.477 universities from 70 countries, including 163 Ukrainian institutions. The ranking is compiled by the international platform Study Abroad Aide to help international students find the best value for money based on academic reputation.
The international education platform Study Abroad Aide has created one of the world’s largest databases of universities and has published its Best Value World Rankings for the third time, comparing institutions based on the ratio of tuition costs to academic reputation. Universities are evaluated based on two indicators: academic reputation (75%), which takes into account data from leading global rankings (Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, U.S. News & World Report), and tuition costs (25%). Only accredited universities that offer bachelor’s and/or master’s programs, have an official website (including an English-language version), and provide public information on tuition costs are eligible for inclusion in the list. In 2026, the ranking included 8,477 institutions from 70 countries worldwide, including 163 Ukrainian universities.
According to the results of the Best Value World Rankings 2026, the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» ranked 2174th among universities worldwide, placing it in the TOP 26% of the global sample, and ranked 9th among Ukrainian institutions, placing it in the TOP-10. The combination of affordable tuition and a strong academic reputation makes NTU «KhPI» particularly attractive to international students.
As a reminder, in 2025, according to the THE World University Rankings, NTU «KhPI» ranked 1501+ and was among the top seven Ukrainian universities. In the QS Sustainability Ranking 2025, NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» ranked 1151–1200th in the world, 51st in Eastern Europe, and was among the TOP-5 Ukrainian institutions. Additionally, in the Best Value World Rankings 2025, NTU «KhPI» ranked seventh among Ukrainian universities.
