Consortium of European universities «UNINOVIS Alliance»
The National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» became the only Ukrainian higher education institution to join the international consortium of European universities «UNINOVIS Alliance» as an associate member.
Official confirmation
The UNINOVIS Alliance brings together seven European universities from France, Lithuania, Germany, Finland, Spain, Italy, and Albania with a funding of 2.9 million euros:

- Technical University of Applied Sciences – Würzburg-Schweinfurt – Germany (THWS)
- University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli – Caserta – Italy (UDCLV)
- University of Applied Sciences – Tampere – Finland (TAMK)
- University of Applied Sciences – Kaunas – Lithuania (KUAS)
- University of Malaga – Spain (UMA)
- University of Tirana – Albania (UT)
All UNINOVIS members are public universities united by the interests of society and want to offer European students, teachers, researchers, citizens, employees, companies, NGOs, public national and international institutions an integrated academic network with the aim of creating a European University by 2027, which has three main goals
- to become the leading European university in the use, study and management of data in all academic fields in order to keep Europe at the forefront of digital processes and to enable Europeans and the world to use intelligent data-driven tools and methods, to create new knowledge through research and teaching that is linked to and applied in response to European needs
- to build a beacon of higher education and research, promoting modern pedagogy and innovation to transfer knowledge to all communities around, with different educational spaces, interdisciplinary pathways and for sustainable development, employment, industrial and economic prospects;
- to create a trans-European center to enhance interaction between Allies and European society, to strengthen the potential for innovation through diversity and multilingualism, to promote European values, identity and culture, and to make European universities a daily fact close to everyone.
The Consortium universities employ over 14.000 teachers, researchers and administrative staff, enrolling over 140.000 students, who are committed to promoting European integration, knowledge, values, culture, diversity and offering transnational academic and cultural activities, qualifications and jobs to all Europeans. The Consortium represents the diversity of Europe: academic offerings are available in French, German, Italian, Finnish, Lithuanian, Spanish, Albanian and Ukrainian, and English as a common language is practiced; the Consortium values intercultural understanding and promotes the study of European languages and cultures.
European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU)
In 2023, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» joined the ECIU Alliance (European Consortium of Innovative Universities).
The European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), founded in 1997, is a network of universities internationally recognized for their expertise in innovative education, research, knowledge exchange and management in higher education.
The members of the consortium share a strong commitment to entrepreneurship, innovative teaching and learning, and high quality research. By working together and learning from each other, ECIU universities are committed to scientific and educational excellence that will have a real impact on business and society.
The ECIU Alliance unites 14 European universities and 10 universities from Ukraine:

Initiated by the ECIU Alliance, the ECIU4Ukraine Cooperation Development Project «Solidarni with Ukraine» – Engaging Ukrainian partners through activities that support academic cooperation and exchange has been successfully implemented at NTU «KhPI» since 2023.

Funding in the amount of 1000000 zlotys (over 200000 euros) is provided by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The ECIU4Ukraine project «Solidarni with Ukraine» provides:
- Organizing the exchange of students, doctoral students and staff of higher education institutions.
- Participation in study visits, internships, summer schools (one representative from the university per 10-day summer school; accommodation, food and transportation costs are covered by the Polish side), seminars, study sessions or intensive courses (participation of 20 Ukrainian students in one online micro-module, the number of micro-modules depends on the interest of students).
- Purchase of equipment for universities whose students will participate in the micro-modules.
- Active participation in conferences (one delegate from each university to participate in three 3-day conferences; accommodation, food and transportation costs are covered by the Polish side);
- Development of modern educational materials.
- Development or preparation of new and innovative teaching tools and methods.
- Development of a quality management system to improve the quality of education and research.

Transnational Alliance of European Universities «EU GREEN Alliance»
Since 2023, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has joined the Transnational Alliance of European Universities EU GREEN Alliance, created and formed by 9 partner institutions (within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program):

Thanks to the initiative of the Wroclaw University of Life Sciences (Poland) and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the Alliance created the project «INTERACT» – Development of New Ways of Internationalization through «EU GREEN» Consortium, focused on cooperation between EU GREEN partners and Ukrainian universities selected at the consortium level, including NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» (Department of Management).
The immediate result of the project will be the creation of an international network of universities, which will be the basis for long-term close cooperation between the EU GREEN Alliance and Ukrainian universities. This will help to consolidate and formalize existing connections and expand interagency cooperation.
Project activities include:
- Study visits involving representatives of universities and researchers from Ukraine aimed at advising future projects and creating new scientific alliances;
- Involvement of students from Ukraine in summer schools;
- Participation of representatives of Ukrainian universities in consortium meetings to establish links and cooperation between Ukrainian universities and members of the alliances;
- Research internships for scientists and representatives of Ukrainian universities.
