NTU «KhPI» ranked 9th among higher education institutions in the National Hirsch Index of Ukraine, which evaluates all scientific institutions in the country based on the number and quality of scientific publications. Data from authoritative scientometric databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were used to compile the ranking, providing the objectivity of the assessment of research activity. In addition, NTU «KhPI» surpassed its own performance indicators in recent years and moved up three positions. A total of 464 scientific institutions in Ukraine were ranked in the rating.
International Ranking Ukrainian National H-index Ranking has published a list of the best scientific organizations and universities in Ukraine based on the results of the second quarter of 2025, providing an up-to-date assessment of their scientific activities. The ranking is based on the internationally recognized scientometric indicator, Hirsch index». It allows to measure the productivity and impact of researchers and institutions through the number of scientific papers and their citations. The ranking uses information from professional scientific resources with a strict selection of journals: Scopus and Web of Science, as well as the Google Scholar platform.
NTU «KhPI» demonstrated high scientific activity. According to the ranking, NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic University» was among the TOP 10 best higher education institutions in the country, becoming one of the Ukrainian leaders in scientific potential. The TOP 10 ranking among higher education institutions in Ukraine also includes: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Sumy State University, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University, and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
In addition, National Technical University «KhPI» surpassed its own indicators of quality and quantity of scientific works of previous years and moved up three positions in the ranking. In the overall ranking of the Ukrainian National H-index Ranking, Kharkiv Polytechnic took 22nd place among 464 scientific institutions in Ukraine.
