The students of NTU “KhPI” are united in three organizations that deal with all aspects of university life, including the issues of sustainable development

The main student trade union organizes student participation in city and university projects, and holds meetings and training sessions on sustainable development;
The Student Alliance of NTU “KhPI” (StudAlliance) is an independent student self-government body that promotes the creation of interest groups and the implementation of large-scale projects, including environmental protection.
The student council “StudHeads” is a new form of student organization that is looking for its place in the implementation of student initiatives in the public and academic spheres.
The Centre for Ecological Research works with student organizations. It brings together students from four departments of three educational and research institutes and NTU’s Scientific, Technological and Educational Centre “KhPI”, who work in the field of ecology.

The Centre’s main objective is sustainable development of the University in the field of ecology.
- The main activities of the Centre are to form a scientifically based worldview among students and professionals, based on the understanding and implementation of the axioms of sustainable development in their professional activities.
- The Centre organizes a number of events with the participation of students to develop ecological thinking and understanding of the concept of sustainable development.
- The Centre has organized student groups implementing sustainable development ideas.
