Faculty “Computer and Information Technologies” was founded in 2003. The faculty has included departments, which for many years have been training specialists in the field of development and application of computer and microprocessor technology and software. One of the departments (Department of Computer Engineering and Programming) is one of the founders of the development of computer facilities in Ukraine. Departments that are part of the faculty have accumulated extensive experience in the development and application of modern information technologies, which makes it possible to prepare specialists at the level of world requirements.

The faculty provides the opportunity to pass industrial practices and internships in leading computer companies such as EPAM Systems, NIX Solutions Ltd., Altexsoft, INSART, DataArt, Brightgrove, SoftServe, GlobalLogic, Plarium, DAXX and scientific and production enterprises of Kharkiv, Ukraine and educational institutions. The faculty has a branched base of modern computer equipment, which has over 300 personal computers of the 4th generation. The computer base is updated almost every 2-3 years. Departments of the faculty have their own local information networks with outlets to the university’s information network and to INTERNET.

The total number of teachers is 117. Of these, 32 are professors, 24 are doctorates of technical sciences, 92 are candidates for science, 60 are associate professors.

Our students take part in All-Ukrainian and International conferences, competitions, competitions and their prizes, publish their articles in scientific journals. Students who are distinguished in their studies and scientific achievements receive nominal scholarships: the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Kharkiv State Regional Administration, the Scientific Council of NTU “KhPI”, and others. The best students have the opportunity to study in graduate school and participate in the educational process and scientific work.

The faculty trains specialists from 5 modern computer specialties and 16 specializations at the qualification levels of the bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
