The delegation of the Danish company BIIR visited NTU “KhPI” on July 6th. The purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation issues relating to the training of students and employment of NTU “KhPI” graduates. The company was represented by Jeppe Møllenbach Mortensen, a manager of BIIR Ukraine and Irina Chernenko, a head of the HR department of the company.
Prof. Gennadiy Khrypunov, a Vice-rector for Scientific-and-Pedagogical Work, Head of Dynamics and Strength of Machines Department (DSM), Prof. Gennadiy L’vov, an Associate Professor of DSM Department, Alexey Larin and representatives of the Department of Industrial and Biomedical Electronics Prof. Vladimir Zamaruyev and Associate Professor Alexander Eres’ko took part in the negotiations.
“First of all, we are interested in machine engineering, mechanical systems design for renewable energy sources, but our primary interest is the graduates of such specialty as “Computer Mechanics” and “Industrial Electronics”, said Jeppe Mortensen, a manager of BIIR Ukraine.
“For us, as a technical university, it is very important to provide our students with employment possibilities in modern companies in the field of machine engineering and other types of engineering”, emphasized Professor Gennadiy Khrypunov, Vice-rector of NTU “KhPI”.
The negotiators considered the potential and the key opportunities for cooperation between NTU “KhPI” and BIIR. According to academics and company representatives, the most promising option for educational cooperation is undertaking of pre-graduation internship by the best university students in the Ukrainian office of the company. Students will be able to apply their knowledge in real company projects and undertake necessary study for the preparation of master’s theses at their department.
The purpose of the cooperation is also job placement for the best graduates of the relevant specialties who have the necessary qualifications and professional level. As the head of the HR department of BIIR Irina Chernenko notes, more than 10 graduates of NTU “KhPI” of different years successfully work in the Danish company. “We are in urgent need of professionals graduated from your Engineering and Physics Faculty, “Computer mechanics” specialty, as well as the Electric Machine Industry Faculty, Industrial and Biomedical Electronics Department, and are ready to hire them,” – assured Irina Chernenko.
Guests of NTU “KhPI” visited the Dynamics and Strength of Machines Department of the Engineering and Physical Faculty of the university where they saw developments of NTU “KhPI” and discussed in detail the future cooperation with the direct supervisors of Master students according to the interesting directions for the company.
The negotiation results in signing the Cooperation Agreement between NTU “KhPI” and BIIR in the near future. Its implementation is going to start on September 1, 2017.
