Educational Programs of the German University were presented at KhPI

NTU “KhPI” held a lecture-accompanied meeting with Natalia Kudeli, a manager in charge of Eastern Europe from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS). The participants of this event had an opportunity to learn more about FHWS activities, legislative aspects of foreign education and specific features of the educational process and leisure time of German students. 

The meeting with the representatives of FHWS was organized by the German Education Center of NTU “KhPI”. The purpose was to let polytechnicians know the opportunities of studying at the German Partner-University. “Each semester ten students from KhPI have an opportunity to take the course of studies at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt. These educational projects are financed within the framework of Erasmus+ program. According to the agreement signed by us, not only students, but also researchers and teachers can participate in exchange programs”— said associate professor Denis Meshkov, the manager of German Education Center of NTU “KhPI”.

In addition to KhPI students, university entrants and their parents came to the meeting to gain some insight into the educational programs of German University. “Recently, we observe an increased interest in the studies of German — stressed Denis Meshkov – therefore, the activities of our education center are aimed at the correspondence to these modern tendencies: only our university is willing to propose free of charge educational programs to study the German language. In addition, the students with a different level of command of this language will be given an opportunity to choose appropriate programs and teachers for themselves, including German and Austrian lecturers”.

We would like to note that starting from June 1, 2018 after term exams, new admission of second-year students majoring in engineering specialties of NTU “KhPI” will be announced for them to participate in the educational project “German Speaking Engineer”.

The University of Applied Sciences (FHWS) (Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Würzburg-Schweinfurt) is a German State University that offers free of charge education and guarantees the issue of diplomas acknowledged worldwide. As for its size, it ranks fourth among the Universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. It was founded in 1971 with two locations which are successfull to this day – in the the cities of Würzburg and Schweinfurt.

FHWS’s ten faculties offer more than 40 bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes (10 departments). About 200 professors share their knowledge with the students.

The classes are given at lecture halls and at the laboratories. All students enjoy free of charge Wi-Fi, IT-service center, the libraries with international course books and on-line catalogues, computer classes and media centers, including also the career center.

The cooperation of FHWS with regional companies provides an opportunity for the students to take a 6-month practice course at those companies throughout the period of their studies. In addition, the students of the University can work for their graduation thesis at the company. It helps them to find employment at the company immediately after their graduation.

Today, the students from 60 countries of the world study at FHWS. It efficiently cooperates with 150 foreign universities and it signed partner agreements with them.
