Teacher of NTU «KhPI» visited Poland under the ERASMUS+ program

Tetyana Tikhomirova, associate professor of the department of chemical engineering and industrial ecology at NTU «KhPI», held lectures for students of the Warsaw University of Technology. She told the future engineers about the concept of sustainable development, its global and local goals. The purpose of the visit of the Kharkiv Polytechnic scientist to the Polish higher education institution was an academic exchange of knowledge in the field of environmental protection, new environmentally friendly technologies and treatment equipment. The trip  by the NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» lecturer to Poland was part of the ERASMUS+ academic mobility program.

Tetyana Tikhomirova, associate professor of the department of chemical engineering and industrial ecology at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI», met with students and teachers of the faculty of automotive and construction engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. She held lectures on the concept of sustainable development and its global and local goals for first- and third-year students of the specialty «Engineering of electric and hybrid vehicles» of higher education institution. The future engineers learned about the main components of sustainable development, which combine the interests of society, the economy and the ecology, and its main goal of improving the quality of life. The lectures were held in an atmosphere of scientific discussion, during which students were able to get answers to their questions.

In addition, associate professor Tetyana Tikhomirova met with Dr Arkadiusz Hajduga of the Warsaw University of Technology, during the conversation the exchange of scientific and teaching experience was held. There were discussed issues related to further joint research and publications.

We should note that during the visit, the teacher of NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» attended a job fair at the faculty of automotive and construction engineering. Tetyana Tikhomirova met with more than 30 representatives of enterprises and companies and discussed with them the perspectives of cooperation in the field of industrial practice and internships for students of NTU «KhPI» in Poland.
