At the end of December, a regular graduation of foreign students was held at Kharkiv Polytechnic. Almost one hundred new bachelors and masters from China, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Morocco and Lebanon received their diplomas of NTU «KhPI». The graduates were congratulated by the vice-rector of NTU «KhPI», professor Gennadiy Khrypunov, director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education (ESI IE) of NTU «KhPI» Dmytro Gorovyi and his deputy Hanna Drozdova. The celebrations were held online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The newly qualified specialists from various fields of industry were congratulated by the vice-rector of NTU «KhPI», professor Gennadiy Khrypunov, the director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education of NTU «KhPI», Dmytro Gorovyi, and his deputy, Hanna Drozdova. The graduates thanked the university administration and their teachers in English, Chinese and Ukrainian for the high-quality higher education they had received. Olena Chernykh, deputy head of the admission committee of the Institute of International Education, took an active participation in organizing this educational celebration.
We should note that this event was a real benefit for the first graduating masters from China, who, despite the war, were not afraid to enter NTU «KhPI» in 2022 and successfully completed their studies here. NTU «KhPI» continues to hold leading positions in Ukrainian and international rankings of higher education institutions. That is why representatives of many countries prefer the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute».
Also we should note that in 2024, Kharkiv Polytechnic will hold two graduations of foreign students: in June – about 200 people, in December – almost 600 bachelors and masters. So, despite the war, the number of foreigners who want to get higher education in National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» is growing every year. In 2023, 1200 students from all over the world studied at Kharkiv Polytechnic. In 2024, it is planned to increase this indicator up to 1700 people, which will surpass the pre-war level. This decision was made at a meeting of the Academic Board of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» on December 26, 2023.
Note:
The first admission of foreign citizens to NTU «KhPI» was made in 1946. Citizens of Bulgaria and Korea became students of the institute. Since then, students from Asia, Africa, Europe and America have been studying at Kharkiv Polytechnic. Since 2004, foreign citizens have been studying at NTU «KhPI» in Ukrainian and English in separate specialties and educational programs.
