Kharkiv Polytechnic became one of the organizers of the International Scientific and Methodological Conference «Development of student’s personality in the context of the new European paradigm», which was held online. The scientific forum was held by the Сross-cultural communication and foreign languages department of the NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» together with scientists from Buckinghamshire New University (UK), HESAM University (France) and the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). The experts’ reports were devoted to the topical issues of modern education in Ukraine and Europe, the formation of a new educational paradigm, training of a new generation specialists, etc. Scholars from higher education institutions in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia also spoke at the conference.
Scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic took part in the International Scientific and methodological conference «Development of student’s personality in the context of the new European paradigm». The conference was organized by the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Buckinghamshire New University (High Wycombe, GB), HESAM University (Paris, France) and the University of Ljubljana (Ljubljana, Slovenia).
Thus, the scientific forum was opened with speeches by Professor Tetyana Sergeyeva, head of the Сross-cultural communication and foreign languages department at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, and Professor Dorin Festeu, director of international programs at the Buckinghamshire New University.
We would like to note that the main topic of the conference was the humanization of education in Ukraine. The presentations by experts from Kharkiv, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia universities and European universities were devoted to the current problems of modern education in Ukraine and Europe, the implementation of the European paradigm in Ukraine, training of new generation specialists, etc.
In the Roundtable format and during the discussions, such important issues as the personality of a modern student, the phenomenon of his or her competence in the context of the new paradigm and the socio-cultural environment, and the development of a teacher’s personality in the context of the new European paradigm were discussed.
A volume of materials was published as a result of the conference.
