A new international ranking WORLD UNIVERSITIES WEB RANKING 2024 has been released, which annually examines the quality and popularity of universities on the Internet. It is based on independent webometric indicators which are collected from reputable sources. Compared to last year’s results, NTU «KhPI» has risen by six positions and took the 12th place among Ukrainian universities. In total, uniRank assessed 14 thousand universities in the world.
The uniRank (WORLD UNIVERSITIES WEB RANKING 2024-University Ranking), formerly known as 4ICU, positions itself as a non-academic ranking that examines the popularity and traffic of websites of universities around the world. The authors of the ranking note that this approach is designed to help students, teachers and researchers assess the overall popularity of the university.
As indicated on the website, uniRank creates a non-academic ranking of the best Ukrainian universities and colleges based on reliable and unbiased web indicators. This information is taken from independent sources of web analytics (Moz, Majestic, SimilarWeb), not from resources provided by the universities themselves. This year, according to the selection criteria, 14 thousand universities of the world, including 192 Ukrainian ones, were included in the uniRank 2024. Kharkiv Polytechnic entered the TOP-15 of best universities in Ukraine, taking the 12th place.
According to the World Universities Web Ranking 2024, the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» became the leader of the Ukrainian ranking. Overall, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology headed the uniRank.
