Kharkiv Polytechnic has traditionally become the organizer of the 11th International Scientific and Technical Conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence» (ICAI-2024). It took place on 9-12 May offline at the Donbas State Engineering Academy (DSEA, Kramatorsk) in Ternopil and online at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». The scientific forum brought together more than two hundred scientists from Ukraine, Germany and Spain. The program committee of the conference was headed by the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work of NTU «KhPI», professor Magomediemin Gasanov. Plenary and sectional sessions were held in Ukrainian and English.
Program committee of the conference also included rector of Donbas State Engineering Academy, professor Viktor Kovalev; head of the department of computer engineering and programming at NTU «KhPI», Professor Oleksandr Zakovorotnyi; head of the department of computerized mechatronic systems, tools and technologies at DSEA, professor Yana Vasylchenko. This year, the conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence» was attended by scientists from ten cities of Ukraine, Germany and Spain. These cities are Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk (Ternopil), Konstanz, and Seville.
More than 100 reports from representatives of 26 universities, companies and enterprises were presented at the plenary session and six sectional sessions. In particular, scientists from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (Konstanz) discussed the issue of intelligent sleep monitoring. In turn, the joint report of scientists from the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was devoted to the determination of the information signal under the influence of several types of interference. The scientists from NTU «KhPI» together with their colleagues from the Donbas State Engineering Academy and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», familiarized the conference participants with the issues of determining the dependencies of cutting theory in algorithms for the implementation of neural networks for controlling the processes of oscillating high-speed gear milling. The reports of the representatives of Kharkiv Polytechnic were also devoted to the design of speed controllers using fuzzy sets of the second type; monitoring of current areas of science development; classification of images for quick search in large databases.
According to the organizers, the ICAI-2024 conference has once again become a great opportunity for its participants to learn something new in the field of modern information technology and management, and to share their own experiences. They note that despite the martial law in Ukraine, the number of forum participants is growing.
Note:
The conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence-2024» included six sections: «Information technologies. Software and applications»; «Application of computing in transport, medicine and engineering»; «Modeling and optimization of complex systems»; «Modeling and optimization in engineering»; «Information protection and cybersecurity»; and «Technology and development of computer games». It took place on 9-12 May 2024.
The organizers of ICAI-2024 are the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», and the Donbas State Engineering Academy.
The conference «Informatics, Control and Artificial Intelligence» was launched in 2014. Its first organizers were NTU «KhPI», the department of computer science and programming of the university. It began as an intra-university conference aimed at students, masters and postgraduate students of NTU «KhPI». The conference’s focus on information technology, management of complex technical systems, mathematical modeling, and artificial intelligence attracted the attention of scientists from Ukraine and countries near and far abroad. Due to this, starting in 2015, the conference became All-Ukrainian, and since 2016 – international.
