NTU «KhPI» held the XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health (MicroCAD-2024)». The forum brought together almost 3500 scientists, teachers, students, postgraduate students and specialists from Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, the USA, etc. The honorary speakers of the plenary session of the conference were Professor Zbigniew Koruba, Rector of the Kielce University of Technology (Poland), and Dr. Wong Rui Rui, Professor of INTI International University (Malaysia, Nilai). Participants from 25 countries discussed the most topical issues in the fields of energy and electronics, medical and economic sciences, national security, etc. The event was held online on 22-25 of May. The conference included 12 sections.
The MicroCAD-2024 conference was opened by Professor Yevgen Sokol, Rector of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». He congratulated all the participants on the Day of Science of Ukraine and thanked scientists from many countries for their support. «Holding this traditional forum proves that NTU «KhPI» lives and works, solving scientific problems of the present and the future. In the time of severe trials, russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, we continue to be an educational and scientific center for training the country’s technical elite,» the rector said.
He noted that despite the constant enemy shelling of the heroic city Kharkiv, NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has united the efforts of teachers, scientists, students and postgraduate students to obtain significant educational and scientific achievements in Ukraine and abroad. Kharkiv Polytechnic shows such positive results, among other things, thanks to the constant support of the international educational community. It allows NTU «KhPI» to move forward confidently, to organize stable and fruitful work of the unbreakable team of the university.
In his report, Professor Yevgen Sokol spoke about the integration of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» into the European and international educational and scientific space.
The speech at the plenary session of the MicroCAD-2024 speakers – Rector of the University of Technology in Kielce (Poland), Professor Zbigniew Koruba , and Vice-Rector of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, Professor Andriy Marchenko – was devoted to sustainable development: the state and problems of energy transport installations.
In their report, Dr. Wong Rui Rui, professor of INTI International University (Malaysia, Nilai), and Yulia Yudina, associate professor of the general pharmacy department of NTU «KhPI», spoke about the prospects for cooperation between NTU «KhPI» and INTI University (Malaysia) in the field of medical sciences.
Head of the Research Department of NTU «KhPI» associate professor Ruslan Kryvobok and professor of the management department of NTU «KhPI» and director of the startup center «Spark» of NTU «KhPI» Natalia Shmatko focused on the prospects for creation and development of a sustainable innovation ecosystem of NTU «KhPI».
The report by Professor Serhii Buryakovskyi, Director of the Research and Design Institute «Molniya» of NTU «KhPI», and Mykhailo Baranov, a leading researcher and senior researcher at the institute, was devoted to providing electromagnetic stability of military equipment and critical infrastructure.
Professor Serhii Yevseiev, head of сybersecurity department of NTU «KhPI», and professor Olena Akhiiezer, head of the department of computer mathematics and data analysis of NTU «KhPI» spoke about the methodology for building a multi-contour security system in socio-cyber-physical systems.
It should be noted that the XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health (MicroCAD-2024)» was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Miskolc University (Hungary), Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (Germany), Sofia University St. «Kliment Ohridski» (Bulgaria), Warsaw and Poznan Universities of Technology (Poland), and Petrosan University (Romania). In 2024, INTI International University (Malaysia) joined the co-organizers of the forum.

The international conference was initiated by scientists from NTU «KhPI» and the University of Miskolc back in 1993. Since then, the event has been transformed into an international scientific forum, where about three thousand scientists and young scientists from all over the world annually discuss global issues of human civilization.
Over the more than 30-year history of the conference, more than fifty thousand presentations have been made, and more than 350 future doctors of sciences and more than 3000 PhDs and doctors PhDs have tested their research papers. During this time, more than 150 famous foreign guests – rectors, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, professors, ministers, ambassadors, directors of organizations and industrial enterprises, and others – have participated in MicroCAD.
