Professors of Kharkiv Polytechnic delivered a course of lectures to students of the National University of Science and Technology «Polytechnica of Bucharest» (Romania). Professor Andrii Rogovyi and associate professor Iryna Hrechka presented modern developments and results of scientific research of NTU «KhPI» scientists. The purpose of the visit of Kharkiv Polytechnic scientists to the Romanian university was the academic exchange of knowledge in the field of hydraulic machines, hydrokinetic turbines and vortex chamber blowers. The trip of the teachers of the departments of hydraulic machines and the theory and systems of computer-aided design of mechanisms and machines of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» to Romania took place within the framework of the ERASMUS+ academic mobility program.
Professor Andrii Rogovyi, head of the Department of Hydraulic machines named after G.F. Proskura, and Iryna Hrechka, associate professor of the Department of Theory and Computer-Aided Design of Mechanisms and Machines of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI», met with students and teachers of the Department of Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machines and Environmental Engineering of the National University of Science and Technology «Polytechnic of Bucharest» (Universitatea Politehnica din București, Romania). The scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic held lectures on the development of hydraulic machines, hydrokinetic turbines and vortex chamber blowers. Future engineers studying under the educational programs «Hydropower Engineering», «Energy and Environmental Technologies», and «Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machines and Systems» could get comprehensive answers to their questions.
Thus, the scientists of NTU «KhPI» exchanged scientific thoughts and teaching experience with their Romanian colleagues: associate professor Andrii Dragomirescu, professors Adrian Ciocanea, Carmen Anca Safta, Sanda Budea and Mykola Vasileiu. They discussed further joint research and publications, as well as the prospects of cooperation in the field of industrial practice and internships for students of Kharkiv Polytechnic in Romania.
Note:
The Polytechnic University of Bucharest (Universitatea Politehnica din București) is the largest technical higher education institution in Romania. In 1818, it was founded as the «Higher School for Geodesy Engineers» with education in Romanian. In 1938, the institution was merged with separate, previously independent educational institutions specializing in architecture, industrial, agricultural and food chemistry.
ERASMUS+ is the European Union’s international cooperation program for education, youth and sport. The aim of the program is to support the educational, professional and personal development of citizens in the EU and beyond to contribute to sustainable growth, quality jobs and social cohesion, to foster innovation and strengthen European identity and active citizenship.
