Two startups of NTU «KhPI» reached the final of the acceleration programs

Two modern developments of Kharkiv Polytechnic took part in the final of the acceleration programs Science Intensive Innovation and Development and Renovation – Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration Demo Day! Scientists and students of the NTU «KhPI» presented their startups: a mobile application for learning a foreign language «ReMnemo» and a methodology for measuring blood velocity and blood pressure «HealthHelper». In total, 30 startups in the fields of education, biotechnology, medical technology, agriculture, green technologies, and IT were presented at Demo Day. More than 150 investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, students, representatives of corporations, communities, and the government took part in the event in offline and online formats. The event brought together more than twenty foreign business angels, venture capitalists, and others.

For example, the development of the «Mobile application for learning a foreign language «ReMnemo» provides an opportunity to learn vocabulary and consolidate its knowledge thanks to its own interval repetition algorithm and the concept of an individualized user dictionary. The app’s slogan is: «Learn easily – memorize for a long time». The project uses evidence-based scientific and practical solutions and combines the capabilities of modern artificial intelligence with cloud computing architecture. Initially, ReMnemo was developed by Hanna Zavolodko, associate professor of the Department of Information Systems  of NTU «KhPI», and Yevgen Hlebov, a student of the department of Multimedia and Internet Technologies and Systems of NTU «KhPI». Under the supervision of Hanna Zavolodko, he did his bachelor’s thesis on this topic. Later, Kharkiv Polytechnic graduates, web development specialists, joined the project authors: Valerii Zavolodko, Bogdan Popovych, and Oleksandr Skliarov.

According to the developers of the startup «HealthHelper», a methodology for measuring both  velocity and blood pressure, it is quite easy to use. You just need to put two fingers on the touch screen of the device and you can immediately get the readings. The slogan of the authors of the development: «We measure immediately and accurately!» The startup team consists of researchers from the Department of Business, Trade and Logistics of NTU «KhPI»: Professor Olena Sergienko, associate professor Ihor Sosnov, PhD student Pavlo Samus; student of the Department of Management of NTU «KhPI» Maria Kalashnyk and student of the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics,  Valeria Vertegel.

In the final of the acceleration programs Science Intensive Innovation and Development and Renovation – Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration Demo Day! 30 startups in the fields of education, biotechnology, medical technology, agriculture, green technologies, and IT were presented. The event was attended by more than 150 investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, students, representatives of corporations, communities, and government in online and offline formats. The event brought together more than twenty foreign business angels, venture capitalists, and others. During the Demo Day, startups had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to companies such as Cisco, IBM, Atlantic Labs, Network VC, Carta, Geek Ventures, DFEC, and others. In addition, the participants of the event were able to establish new connections, share experiences, and discuss their ideas with experts..

According to the authors of the NTU «KhPI» startups, the Demo Day was an important event for summarizing the achievements of both developments and their further development in the high-tech segment. Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration continues to support innovative projects, promoting the development of technology and entrepreneurship in Ukraine.  Scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic thanked the event organizers for supporting their startups at every step of this incredible journey.
