Scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic University completed a week-long internship in the laboratories and classrooms of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Czech Republic). The purpose of the visit of NTU «KhPI» scientists to the Czech higher education institution was the academic exchange of knowledge in the field of technological processes and methods of material processing. The trip of the teachers of the Department of Technology of mechanical engineering and metal-cutting machines of Kharkiv Polytechnic to the Czech Republic was made within the framework of the ERASMUS+ academic mobility program.
Teachers of the Department of Technology of mechanical engineering and metal-cutting machines of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI»: professors Serhii Dobrotvorskyi and Gennadiy Khavin and associate professors Yevheniia Basova and Maryna Ivanova completed an internship in the laboratories and classrooms of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň (Czech Republic). They spent an intense week of scientific discussions with colleagues from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech higher education institution.
Thus, in order to further organize and conduct joint research and projects, scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic got acquainted with the technological equipment of the laboratories. The scientists of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute evaluated the experience of their colleagues in applying modern methods of technological preparation of production, technological preparation of logistics, quality management of aircraft and automotive equipment, innovations in the application of blade and energy processing methods, etc.
NTU «KhPI» teachers plan to use the acquired knowledge and experience in their classes in the educational programs «Technological and logistics systems in mechanical engineering» (specialty 131 – Applied Mechanics) and «Machines and equipment for technological processes» (specialty 133 – Industrial Engineering) in the academic year 2024-2025.
The scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic discussed with their Czech colleagues the prospects for the development of science and technical education, exchanged teaching experience with professors Milan Edl, Jan Jehor, Jan Zdebor, associate professors Martin Melichar, Miroslav Zetek, etc.
They also discussed further joint research and publications, as well as the prospects for cooperation in the field of internships for NTU «KhPI» students in the Czech Republic starting in September 2024.
