The International Scientific Conference on Energy, Electronics and Modern Technologies «IEEE 5th KhPI Week on Advanced Technology» was held online at Kharkiv Polytechnic. Scientists from the world’s leading higher education and research institutions presented the results of their innovative research in such areas as energy systems, biomedical engineering, micro- and nanotechnology, etc. The forum brought together more than two hundred participants from 15 countries, including Israel, France, Spain, Germany, and Sweden. The event was made possible by the support of the international scientific community, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the IEEE Ukrainian Section. Despite the difficult situation in Ukraine due to the war, the conference demonstrated the resilience and commitment of Ukrainian scientists to continue research and development of innovative solutions.
The International Scientific Conference on Energy, Electronics and Modern Technologies «IEEE 5th KhPI Week on Advanced Technology», which took place on the basis of NTU «KhPI», was attended by more than two hundred scientists from 15 countries. In particular, they were represented by: Ukraine, Poland, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Israel, India, France, Spain, Germany, Jordan, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Pakistan, Sweden and Italy.
Scientists reported on the results of their innovative research in eight sections of the forum. Thus, the section «Power Electronics» was about the latest energy conversion technologies, power management systems and their application in industry and manufacturing. The reports of the participants of section «Industrial Electronics» were devoted to innovative solutions for automating production processes, using robotics and electronic control systems. As for the Energy Systems section, it discussed energy-efficient technologies, including renewable energy, integration of renewable energy sources and sustainable development of energy systems. In 2024, the conference program included a new section «Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation». It was organized by scientists and teachers of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering of NTU «KhPI».
The section was created to research innovative technologies of dielectric materials for various industries. Its relevance is that, despite the diversity of existing dielectric materials, they cannot always be interchangeable. The choice of dielectric depends on the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and physical and mechanical characteristics of the materials. Electrical insulation, mechanical, thermal, and other physical and chemical properties are important, allowing materials to meet the requirements of modern scientific and technological progress.
The conference participants emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research, international cooperation and exchange of experience. In 2024, the forum received an international standard ISSN number, which emphasizes its high scientific status and important impact on the development of engineering science.
«Despite russia’s war against Ukraine, the conference demonstrated the resilience and commitment of Ukrainian scientists to continue research and development of innovative solutions. The holding of such a large-scale event proved that science has no borders even in times of crisis. Ukrainian researchers actively cooperate with international colleagues and make a significant contribution to global scientific progress,» the organizers of the scientific forum noted.
Note:
The international scientific conference on energy, electronics and modern technologies «IEEE 5th KhPI Week on Advanced Technology» was held on October 7-11, 2024 at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». In addition to NTU «KhPI», scientific institutions and higher education institutions of Ukraine took part in the forum. They are: National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, Sumy State University, National University «Odesa Maritime Academy», Ivan Bobersky Lviv State University of Physical Culture, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Ukrainian State Research Institute for Carbochemistry, Ivan Kozhedub National University of the Air Force, Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture etc.
ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) – International Standard Serial Number – is a digital eight-digit code that identifies a periodical (media) regardless of its country of origin. The ISSN program was launched and developed within the structure of the UNESCO World Scientific Information Program. The ISSN is assigned by the International Center for Periodicals, which is located in Paris, because Ukraine does not have a national ISSN center. Upon registration, the publication is entered into the international data register. The ISSN International Center is an intergovernmental institution governed by statutes that are the subject of an agreement between UNESCO and France, the organizer country of the International Center.
