A total of 1023 universities were evaluated, but 749 higher education institutions from 92 countries were included in the ranking, including eleven from Ukraine.
The effectiveness of higher education institutions in the ISR 25 ranking is considered taking into account 11 indicators in three areas of activity:
- Inputs (funding).
- Process (success indicators, logistics, administrative support and promotion).
- Outputs (publications, quality of research, reputation).
According to the ISR 25, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» was ranked fourth among the ranked universities in Ukraine and 501-600 among the universities in the world. It was able to achieve such positions due to high performance in the «Process» direction (1st place among Ukrainian universities) and good results in the directions: «Inputs» and «Outputs» (5th place among Ukrainian universities).
The ISR 25 global ranking is headed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by Stanford University, and the National University of Singapore. The country with the largest number of ranked universities is India (65), followed by Turkey (45) and the United States (38).
