Kharkiv Polytechnic organized the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Postgraduate Students «Youth Sociological Forum of NTU «KhPI». The young researchers discussed topical issues of society development and worked on proposals to improve the efficiency of public administration. The forum brought together more than 50 participants from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, China (Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan), etc. The event was held online and was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Department of Sociology and Public Administration of the NTU «KhPI».
The participants of the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Youth Sociological Forum of NTU «KhPI» were greeted by the co-chairman of the organizing committee of the forum, director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Social and Humanitarian Technologies of NTU «KhPI», Professor Andrii Kipenskyi, head of the Department of Public Administration and Political Science of Klaipeda University (Lithuania), Professor Yaroslav Dvorak, and head of the Department of Sociology and Public Administration of NTU «KhPI», Professor Volodymyr Moroz.
In the panel discussion, young researchers discussed the issues of the sociological dimension of society’s development (problems of youth, students and education in modern society; gender aspects of modern society, etc.) and public administration (theory and history of public administration; mechanisms of public administration, etc.)
We should note that bilingual communication (Ukrainian and English) and free expression of opinions have already become the trademark of the Department of Sociology and Public Administration of the NTU «KhPI». The creative atmosphere, interesting content, and topical focus of the reports turned the scientific conference into an effective communication platform for the fruitful exchange of experience, thoughts, and knowledge between representatives of higher education institutions from around the world.
The event created favorable conditions for establishing of promising professional contacts and development of scientific cooperation between young researchers.
The organizers of the forum expressed their gratitude to the participants for the active scientific discourse on topical social and humanitarian issues, the synergy of theoretical developments with the best practices in the field of sociology and public administration, as well as international scientific dialogue and exchange of research experience.
Thus, based on the results of the conference, a collection of reports was prepared, which will soon appear on the website of the Department of Sociology and Public Administration of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» and in the depository of Kharkiv Polytechnic.
