The National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has equipped another shelter to create an educational space and is preparing a modern classroom for schoolchildren to study in the new academic year.
On 14 April, 2025, a new educational space was opened at NTU «KhPI». It is located in the new building of Kharkiv Polytechnic and is designed for 25 workplaces. The 80-square-meter room is equipped with modern computers connected to the Internet; Wi-Fi; flow and exhaust ventilation; electricity and water supply, fire alarm, heating systems; fire alarm; bathroom facilities; a first aid room.
The new auditorium of the shelter was put in order by the repair teams and services of the administrative and economic sector of the NTU «KhPI». Within 2 months, the premises were renovated, ramps and handrails were installed for people with limited mobility, and window shutters were protected from the blast wave.
The official opening of the educational space at NTU «KhPI» was attended by representatives of the university administration and employees of Kharkiv Polytechnic. The guests of the event became: Natalia Rusanova, Deputy Director of the Kharkiv Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment, Volodymyr Ivlev, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Kyiv District of Kharkiv, and Andrii Yeremenko, Deputy Head of the Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region, Head of the Emergency Prevention Department in the Kyiv District. Rector of the NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» Yevgen Sokol and Vice-Rector Magomediemin Gasanov demonstrated to the audience the readiness of the educational space center for its intended use. The high level of its provision with everything necessary was noted. By the beginning of the new academic year, it is planned to equip another modern classroom for schoolchildren. The total area of the new NTU «KhPI» shelter is 250 square meters.
We would like to remind you that the first shelter on the territory of NTU «KhPI» was opened on 3 April, 2023. It is located in the academic building U-2 and has a capacity of 150 seats. Various career guidance and other events of Kharkiv Polytechnic take place in the shelter.
