NTU «KhPI» expands opportunities for scientific cooperation — Meeting of the Council of Vice Rectors

A meeting of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Work of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held in Kyiv. Andrii Marchenko, Vice-Rector of the National Technical University «KhPI», took part in the event. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the needs for priority innovative developments to provide sustainable economic development, security, and defense of Ukraine, as well as to establish cooperation between Ukrainian universities and institutions of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Kharkiv Polytechnic’s participation in such events is important for expanding international scientific cooperation, attracting European research programs, and strengthening the university’s role in shaping the state’s scientific and innovation policy.

 The purpose of the meeting of the Council of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Work of Higher Education Institutions, which took place on November 13, 2025, was to inform the scientific community about the current needs of the state in priority innovative developments aimed at providing the sustainable development of the economy, security, and defense of Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to establishing cooperation between Ukrainian higher education institutions and institutions of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which is an important element of the integration of domestic science into the European research space.

In the second part of the event, Mateusz Bialas, the official representative of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Ukraine, presented a report on «Potential cooperation in the scientific sphere between Ukraine and Poland and the formation of a trajectory for strengthening European integration of scientists,» as well as Ihor Tsependa, acting rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, who presented a report entitled «The peculiarities of cooperation between scientists from Ukraine and Poland in the context of forming European integration relations.»

As noted by Vice Rector Andrii Marchenko, NTU «KhPI» participation in such an event is extremely important for the development of the university’s scientific activities, as it allows:

  • representing the position of the Polytechnic in the formation of state policy in the field of science and innovation;
  • join the discussion of key areas of international scientific cooperation;
  • expand opportunities for joint Ukrainian-Polish research, academic mobility, and participation in European grant programs.

Thanks to such meetings, the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» continues to strengthen its status as a leading scientific and educational center in Ukraine, which actively shapes the scientific priorities of the future and integrates into the European research space.
