NTU «KhPI» shapes the future of digital Ukraine at Tech Unity: Clusters Forum

Scientists from NTU «KhPI»: Oleksiy Larin, Tetyana Aleksandrova, Oleksiy Vodka, Marina Grinchenko, Oksana Tatarinova, Maksym Malko, and Olena Prokhorenko took part in the first national non-commercial technology forum-conference «Tech Unity: Clusters Forum». During the event, key conclusions were identified that will shape the development of the Ukrainian technology sector, in particular, the importance of regional ecosystems, the role of universities, the growing demand for IT specialists, the development of defense technologies, and startups. In addition, issues of economic development, the talent market, digital education, investment, and international cooperation were discussed. The forum brought together about three thousand representatives of business, education, the public sector, and technology communities from Ukraine and the European Union.

Teachers from NTU «KhPI» joined the first large-scale national non-commercial technology forum-conference «Tech Unity: Clusters Forum». Kharkiv Polytechnic was represented by: Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics, Professor Oleksiy Larin; Head of the Department of System Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies, Professor Tetyana Aleksandrova; Head of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Intelligent Computing in Engineering, Associate Professor Oleksiy Vodka; Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies, Professor Marina Grinchenko; Head of the Department of Computer Modeling of Processes and Systems, Associate Professor Oksana Tatarinova; Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies, Maksym Malko; and Professor of the Department of Management, Olena Prokhorenko. They took an active part in panel discussions, thematic sessions, and networking. NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» established new partnerships and outlined prospects for cooperation in the areas of dual education, the development of modern IT courses, education for veterans, practical training for higher education seekers, and participation in innovative projects. The conference program included three stages and nine thematic blocks with the participation of 80 top-level speakers. Participants discussed issues of economic development, defense innovations, the talent market, digital education, investment, and international cooperation. Key conclusions were identified that will shape the development of the Ukrainian technology sector, including the importance of regional ecosystems, the role of universities, the growing demand for IT specialists, and the development of defense technologies and startups.

The forum was organized by Kharkiv IT Cluster in collaboration with 18 Ukrainian IT clusters and technology communities, with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, IT Ukraine, Diia City Union, the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance, and over 50 partners. The mission of the event was to bring together all participants in the technology ecosystem—from startups to large companies, from educators to government institutions. According to scientists at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, the first «Tech Unity: Clusters Forum» was an important step in the development of the national technology ecosystem and highlighted the active role of NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» in shaping the future of digital Ukraine.

The first national non-profit technology forum-conference «Tech Unity: Clusters Forum» took place in December 2025 in Kyiv. The event brought together about three thousand participants from all regions of Ukraine, as well as representatives of clusters from European Union countries. The event became a unique platform for shaping the national technological context. The forum was organized by Kharkiv IT Cluster, with which the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has been cooperating for over 10 years. In 2024, a Memorandum of Partnership was signed, which opened a new stage in the development of cooperation.

Kharkiv IT Cluster is a public organization that has been bringing together leading Ukrainian IT companies, educational institutions, and government agencies since 2015. The Kharkiv IT Cluster’s members include leading IT firms, educational institutions, organizations, and enterprises that are well known not only in the region but also throughout Ukraine.
