An exhibition titled «Ukrainian Diplomacy Through the Prism of Women’s Experiences» has opened at the Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute». The centerpiece of the exhibition became the book donation from the university’s partner—the Scientific Society for the History of Diplomacy and International Relations. The publications are dedicated to the history of Ukrainian diplomacy, its cultural and public dimensions, as well as the role of women in the formation and development of Ukraine’s diplomatic service. The event was opened by Gennadiy Khrypunov, Vice Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Education at NTU «KhPI». He emphasized the importance of understanding Ukraine’s diplomatic traditions and enhancing the role of Ukrainian women on the international stage.
The Scientific and Technical Library (STL) of NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has received the following books: «The Female Face of Ukrainian Diplomacy: Essays, Memoirs, Interviews», «Women in Official and Public Diplomacy. Essays, Essays, Interviews,» the textbook «Public Diplomacy,» and other publications that combine in-depth scholarly research with vivid personal stories, memoirs, and interviews. These were donated to the library collection by NatalIia Volosnikova, Head of the Department of General Economic Theory at NTU «KhPI» and Associate Professor. She noted the relevance of these works for the training of students, faculty, and researchers in the fields of international relations, public diplomacy, and cultural diplomacy. Words of gratitude for this valuable addition to the library collection were expressed by Yuliia Glavcheva, Director of the NTU «KhPI» Scientific and Technical Library, and her deputy, Olena Breslavets, who emphasized the importance of these publications for the educational process, scientific research, and the development of gender studies.
The university extended special thanks to Dr. Iryna Matyash, Chair of the Scientific Society for the History of Diplomacy and International Relations, Doctor of Historical Sciences, and Professor—the compiler and editor of these publications—for her significant contribution to the preservation of historical memory, the advancement of the humanities, and the promotion of gender equality. At NTU «KhPI», we are confident that these new books will find their readers and become an important intellectual resource for the university’s academic community! This event was the practical result of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the Rector of NTU «KhPI» Yevgen Sokol and the Chair of the Board of the Scientific Society Iryna Matyash as part of the departmental project «Diplomatic Ukraine».

The Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,» founded in 1885, holds over 1.4 million items, including 20.000 publications from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The library provides access to the Scopus and Web of Science databases and combines the work of its reading rooms with a system of curatorial support for scientific activities.
