A team from the National Technical University «KhPI» was recognized for its participation in preparing and conducting the 2026 entrance exams for Ukrainian applicants living abroad who wish to pursue higher education at Ukrainian institutions.
Denys Meshkov, coordinator of international educational programs at NTU «KhPI», received an official letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, and the Donetsk Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment. The award was presented in recognition of his assistance in preparing and conducting the 2026 entrance exams for Ukrainian higher education institutions for applicants to bachelor’s and master’s programs. A key role in the implementation of this initiative was played by the collaboration between Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany (Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg). Thanks to the coordination between Ukrainian and German partners, the necessary conditions were created for the operation of the testing center in Magdeburg, and the proper organization of the entrance exams was ensured. This recognition was the result of the joint efforts of the team that directly managed the testing center’s operations. Denys Meshkov emphasized that he wishes to share this recognition with his colleagues—Professor Hennadii Tulskyi, who was responsible for the testing center; Senior Inspector Iryna Horila; Inspector Yulia Koroshchenko; and Duty Officer Iryna Ptashnyk. The professionalism, responsibility, and coordination of each team member made it possible to ensure appropriate conditions for Ukrainian applicants.
For NTU «KhPI» this award is not only an assessment of the work accomplished but also recognition of the university’s contribution to supporting Ukrainian education abroad. Conducting entrance exams in other countries is the result of collaboration between universities, government agencies, and international partners who are working together to ensure that Ukrainian youth have access to the national higher education system regardless of their location. «It is a great honor for me to be part of this important work. It is especially gratifying that our joint efforts have received such high praise. I would like to share this gratitude with all my colleagues who worked on organizing the testing center in Magdeburg. The successful administration of the exams is the result of teamwork, responsibility, and mutual support. I am sincerely grateful to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, and the Donetsk Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment for their trust, as well as to my colleagues at NTU «KhPI» and Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg for their seamless cooperation. «I am proud of our team and of the fact that NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» is contributing to maintaining Ukrainian youth’s connection with the national education system,» noted Denys Meshkov.
Today, supporting Ukrainian applicants and students abroad also contributes to preserving the country’s intellectual potential and strengthening the younger generation’s ties to Ukraine. NTU «KhPI» continues to develop international cooperation, support Ukrainian youth abroad, and create opportunities for them to maintain their academic and professional ties with Ukraine.
We are working together to ensure that Ukrainian education remains accessible to Ukrainians— regardless of distance.
