The department was founded in 1993 for the training of specialists in the field of information technology in the direction 6.050101 – “Computer Science”.
The founder of the department is Professor Valeriy Kravets.
The first graduates of bachelors (20 persons) carried out in 1997.
Along with the existing area since 2001, the training of bachelors in 6.050903 – “Telecommunications”. The first graduates of bachelors (20 persons) carried out in 2005.
