On May 29, Albrecht Renker, a graduate of NTU KhPI and a citizen of Germany visited his native university. Forty years ago he graduated from the Department for the Technology of Inorganic Substances majoring in cementing materials. After the graduation from our institution of higher education he worked for cement industry companies in Germany (German Democratic Republic). Today Albrecht Renker heads the Logistics Department of «Dyckerhoff — GmbH» (Germany).
Renker met with Prof. Yevgen Sokol, rector of NTU “KhPI”, and Prof. Gennadiy Khripunov, a pro-rector in charge of scientific and pedagogical work. He visited the History Museum of NTU ‘KhPI” and left the acknowledgment in the Book for Honored Guests and he also admired the Monument to the First Engineer of Kharkov Politech.
Albrecht Renker visited his native department, where he was welcomed by Prof. Mykhail Ryshchenko, the head of the department and he strolled through the auditoriums, in which he once studied.
The guest was accompanied by Valeriy Kamchatnyi, executive director of the Board of Association of NTU “KhPI” Graduates, his fellow-student with whom he shared the room at the hostel No5 and A.I. Stankevich, a graduate student of NTU “KhPI” and they enjoyed their youth time working for the students’ construction brigade.
Albrecht Renker highly valued the level of education given to him when he studied at NTU “KhPI” and he spoke highly of his “Alma-Mater”. A. Renker is in expectation of the meeting with his fellow-students and they are going to celebrate the forties anniversary of the graduation from NTU “KhPI”.
The visit took place due to the support given by the Association of Graduates of NTU “KhPI”.
