KhPI has Ukrainian “silver” of world rating

National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” for the first time entered the annual world ranking of research universities THE World University Rankings 2020 from the British agency Times Higher Education. Kharkiv Polytechnic became one of the two technical universities of Ukraine that fell into this prestigious world ranking, taking the position of 1001+. In total, nearly 1400 universities from 92 countries are represented in the ranking. The rating results were presented on September 11 at the World Academic Summit in Zurich. 

The rating of Ukrainian universities THE World University Rankings 2020 looks like this:

801-1000 places – Lviv Polytechnic National University,

1001+ places – National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”,

– Ivan Franko National University of Lviv,

– Sumy State University,

– Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv,

– V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

It should be noted that the first five of the world ranking consists of American and British universities. So, World University Rankings 2020 headed Oxford University, followed by: California Institute of Technology, Cambridge University, Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

It is the largest and most diverse university rating to date and is considered one of the most respected in the world, along with the Shanghai and QS ratings. The table of assessment criteria contains 13 indicators that measure the effectiveness of the institution in the field of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.
