The representatives of NTU “Kharkov Polytechnic Institute” paid a visit to the People’s Republic of China as part of the Ukrainian delegation. Within the framework of the visit to the city of Harbin (throughout the period of January 4 to 7) the representatives participated in the Third Forum “the Day of Ukraine”, the scientific -&-innovative conference, the ribbon-cutting ceremony relating to the opening of the joint Chinese-Ukrainian Center and they also conducted negotiations. The visit resulted in the signing of the two contracts on cooperation in the field of science and education between the NTU “KhPI” and the Chinese institutions of higher education, in particular Nanjing Aviation University and the Jiamusi University.
NTU “KhPI” was represented by the pro-rectors in charge of scientific and pedagogical work Ruslan Mygushchenko and Magomedemin Gasanov with the participation of Prof. Aleksandr Klochko from the Department for the Mechanical Engineering and Metal-Cutting Machine-Tool Technology. Within the space of a few days they participated in different events. In particular, our polytechnics visited the Third Chinese –Ukrainian Scientific-&-Innovative Forum in Harbin and conducted roundtable discussions. Among the participants were the managers of Ukrainian and Chinese Universities, the representatives of the Ministry of Education of the PRC and other important persons. In addition, the representatives of KhPI were the speakers at the scientific-&-innovative conference and they presented the NTU “KhPI”, its achievements, innovative programs, the news in the field of education, scientific developments, infrastructure and the march of science on the whole to familiarize the Chinese colleagues with our University.
The delegation from the Kharkov Polytechnic also participated in the opening ceremony of the Chinese-Ukrainian Center for the Innovative Cooperation in Harbin. The Joint Platform was set up to facilitate the cooperation and negotiations between Chinese and Ukrainian Partners on educational, scientific and cultural projects.
The visit of the representatives of NTU “KhPI” to Harbin resulted in the signing of the two contracts, in particular the Contract on Cooperation with Nanjing Aviation University and the Memorandum of Intent with the Jiamusi University. These presuppose the development of the programs relating to the exchange of the students and teachers, managing and doing joint research, holding of seminars, conferences, exchanging the instructional and methodical medium, scientific publications, etc.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian delegation attended the promotional conference Harbin New District (free trade pilot zone), the exhibition Sun Island Snow Expo and also the traditional Chinese International Festival of Ice and Snow in Harbin.
