Measuring the impact of COVID-19 — Sociologists from NTU ‘KhPI’ and Lithuanian University are working on the joint project

Scientists of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of NTU “KhPI” and Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) have agreed on joint participation in the Ukrainian-Lithuanian competition for research projects. The decision was made during the web conference, which took place the other day. The title of the scientific work is as follows: “Sociological measurement of the impact of COVID-19 on the quality of higher education and the social and economic well-being of an individual.” Researchers are preparing to introduce their initiatives in 2022–2023.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jurga Bucaite-Vilke (Vytautas Magnus University) and representatives of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of NTU “KhPI” — Prof. Yurii Kalahin, Prof. Marina Biryukova, Assoc. Prof. Karina Agalarova participated in the conference. The work of the online event was moderated by the head of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of NTU “KhPI” Volodymyr Moroz.
The participants agreed on the title and the work plan for the competition application, defining the up-to-date research topic: “Sociological measurement of the impact of COVID-19 on the quality of higher education and the social and economic well-being of an individual.” It was also decided to engage young scientists from both sides in the project. The competition proposal has already been signed by the rector of the Lithuanian University, and in the immediate future, it is being prepared for approval by the rector of NTU ‘KhPI’ Yevhen Sokol.
