On September 24, 2021, the delegation from United Arab Emirates (UAE) paid a visit to the NTU “KhPI”. The purpose of the visit was getting to know the University and conduct talks on the cooperation in the fields of education and sports. The representatives of UAE met Yevgen Sokol, Rector of KhPI and visited many facilities of the students’ campus of the University, and also the sports ground and the start-up center “Spark” of the KhPI.
The delegation from United Arab Emirates was represented by the sports minister Khalifa Khameis Ali Abdulla Alkaabi, city of Dubai, his assistant Hani Baraka Eido, and director general of NVC Lighting Technology Corporation Hassan Harisi.
In the course of negotiations, the rector of KhPI presented the University to the members of the delegation. He spoke on the main avenues of education and gave an idea of the two research institutes “Ionosphere” and “Molniya”, including the Military Institute for Tank Troops, and the unique education program “Innovation Campus” that provides a conceptually new approach to the training of the specialists for the fields of computer sciences and information technologies.
According to Yevgen Sokol, rector of KhPI, the United Arab Emirates and Ukraine have attained today accord in different spheres and the Kharkiv-based Polytech welcomes cooperation in the field of science and education.
The delegation from UAE was given a tour around the University campus: they visited the science and technology library, the high-voltage hall, sports ground and the start-up center “Spark” of the KhPI.
The sports minister Khalifa Khameis Ali Abdulla Alkaabi, city of Dubai noted a wide range of the specialties and opportunities enjoyed by the students from the Kharkiv Polytech. In addition, he took an interest in the sports camp of the KhPI, in particular the swimming pool and he highly appreciated the coach school in Ukraine.
