NTU «KhPI» was visited by representatives of the charitable funds «Revival Source» CFSR and «Gigahertz Ventures» (Germany). They were given a tour of the Kharkiv Polytechnic campus and prepared a presentation of the developments of the university’s young scientists. In particular, the following were presented: startup center «SPARK» of NTU «KhPI», a project of a portable game console, a startup for diagnosing of cardiovascular diseases HealhHelper, a portable cleaner with solar panels «OptySun». The visit was organized by the Educational and Scientific Institute of Power Energineering, Electronics and Electromechanics (ESI EEE) of the Kharkiv Polytechnic, the Council of Young Scientists of higher education institution and the Public Council of the STS State University in the Kharkiv region. The purpose of the meeting is to find investments for the implementation of startup projects of Kharkiv Polytechnic.
Serhii Zhuk, director of CFSR «Revival Source» , and his deputy, Kateryna Melnikova, as well as CEO of «Gigahertz Ventures» fund from Germany, Mr. Stefan Shandera, were visitors to NTU «KhPI». Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine, Stefan has been engaged in humanitarian aid for our country, attracting investments from Germany for this purpose.
The guests were given a short tour of the campus of the Kharkiv Polytechnic, and a presentation of the university’s scientists’ developments was also organized. The following reports were presented during the meeting:
- About achievements and opportunities of the SPARK startup center of Kharkiv Polytechnic for the implementation and commercialization of ideas were told by the representative of this innovative structure – PhD in Economics, associate professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance of ESI EMIB of NTU «KhPI» Yulia Tatarintseva.
- Students of the Department of Electrical Stations of ESI EEE of NTU «KhPI» Mykyta and Danylo Novakovy presented the project DIY KIT (portable game console).
- Postgraduate student of the «Transmission of Electric Energy» department of ESI EEE of NTU «KhPI», founder of the «Balanced» startup Andrii Potrivai presented his development.
- Pavlo Samus, a representative of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Trade and Logistics of the ESI EMIB of NTU «KhPI», the founder of the startup for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases HealhHelper, spoke about the features of his startup.
- The «EcoPower Innovators» project was presented by Dmytro Borysenko and Danylo Shuripa, students of the «Transmission of Electric Energy» department of the ESI EEE of NTU «KhPI».
- One of the startup’s authors, the head of the department of automated electromechanical systems of ESI EEE of NTU «KhPI», Ph.D., Bohdan Vorobyov presented the OptySun portable water purifier with built-in solar panels, which turns any technical water into potable water, disinfecting it and providing access to drinking water where it is needed.

«Spark» startup center of NTU «KhPI» is the first and unique platform for Kharkiv, the main task of which is to provide support to innovative projects from the stage of creation to their commercialization. The audience of «Spark» is young scientists, students and schoolchildren, and the main speakers are investors, representatives of funds, leading consulting agencies, businessmen from both Ukraine and USA.
