NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» for the fifth year in a row is included in the list of the best universities in the world’s ranking THE World University Rankings by subject 2024. Kharkiv Polytechnic is represented in four of the eleven professional areas of the ranking: Business and economics, computer science, physical sciences and engineering. According to the results, NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» once again entered the top of five best Ukrainian universities, taking the 3rd and 4th places in the list. The results of the world’s best universities’ activity have recently been published by the British agency Times Higher Education.
Thus, in the category of THE World University Rankings by subject 2024 «business and economics», NTU «KhPI» won the 3rd place among Ukrainian higher education institutions (position 601-800 in the general list). Ukraine was also represented by: Sumy State University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.
In the subject area of «computer science», NTU «KhPI» ranked 4th in Ukraine and 801-1000 positions among universities in the world. Other Ukrainian universities included in the ranking are: Lviv Polytechnic National University, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, National Aerospace University «Kharkiv Aviation Institute», National Aviation University, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V. In the field of «physical sciences», NTU «KhPI» ranked 3rd among Ukrainian universities (position 1001+ in the general list). Also among the representatives of our country: Sumy State University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V. In the category «engineering», NTU «KhPI» ranked 7th among Ukrainian universities and 1001+ in the overall list. The World University Rankings list from the British agency Times Higher Education is the largest and most varied global university ranking to date and is considered one of the most authoritative in the world, along with the Shanghai Ranking and QS. The table of evaluation criteria includes 13 indicators that measure the effectiveness of the institution in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.
The WUR ranking publishes the following subject categories: computer science, engineering, medicine, natural sciences, physical sciences, psychology, business and economics, education, law, social sciences, arts and humanities.
