NTU «KhPI» startup Prominchik, is an innovative mobile universal photovoltaic station designed for working in emergency situations in the energy sector, won bronze medal at the Lviv Startup Fest student project competition. The festival was held at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. 45 projects took part in the competition, among which 8 finalists were selected who presented innovative ideas in various fields. NTU «KhPI» was the only higher education institution from Kharkiv which entered to the final.
The All-Ukrainian festival of student projects has become an arena for presenting and discussing ideas in the fields of education, sports, rehabilitation, tourism, metal protection technologies, foreign language learning, and energy. The team of Kharkiv Polytechnic Prominchik impressed the jury and the audience with their creativity and ability to solve actual problems in the energy sector.
The authors of the Prominchik startup are Mykhailo Kirichenko, head of the startup, associate professor of the department of micro- and nanoelectronics at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics; Ivan Fedorov, a student of the department of micro- and nanoelectronics; and Eva Makarova and Vladyslav Berezhnoy, students of the department of electricity transmission of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics. This is a project of a highly mobile photovoltaic power supply system in an emergency situation. It implements an innovative approach that solves the important problem of autonomous electricity and hot water supply in military conditions, it is mobile, modular, quiet, and energy-independent. The system combines the capabilities of generating electricity and thermal energy, and the authors have proposed a modular design principle that allows the flexible regulation of the power to the needs of specific consumers.
The final of the All-Ukrainian Student Project Competition Lviv Startup Fest took place at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The competition was attended by 45 projects, among which 8 finalists were selected. Among them, in addition to the National Technical University «KhPI», there were representatives of: Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National University of Odesa Polytechnic, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and Kyiv National Linguistic University. Startup of NTU «KhPI» Prominchik took the third place and received a money prize of UAH 5000.
