Scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic took part in the XI International Conference on Nonlinear Dynamics «ENOC-2024». They made presentations dedicated to the analysis of nonlinear free oscillations of plates and shells made of functional gradient materials; resonance behavior and stability analysis in nonlinear systems; analysis of nonlinear cyclic deformation of cladding of nuclear reactor fuel elements. The scientific forum was held at the Technical University of Delft (the Netherlands) and brought together scientists and engineers in the field of nonlinear oscillations, chaotic dynamics, etc. from many leading higher education and research institutions in Europe.
In her report, Tetyana Shmatko, associate professor of the department of higher mathematics at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of NTU «KhPI», and Lidiya Kurpa, professor of the department of applied mathematics at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Modeling, Applied Physics and Mathematics of NTU «KhPI», spoke about the analysis of nonlinear free oscillations of plates and shells made of functional gradient materials. The presentation of Yuriy Mikhlin, professor of the department of applied mathematics of NTU «KhPI», and young researchers of the same department Yulia Surganova and Yana Lebedenko was devoted to the resonant behavior and stability analysis in nonlinear systems.
The topic of the report of professor Dmytro Breslavsky, head of the department of computer modeling of processes and systems of NTU «KhPI», and Pavlo Palamarchuk, a graduate student of the same department, was the analysis of nonlinear cyclic deformation of the cladding of nuclear reactor fuel elements. It should be noted that this report was prepared based on the results of joint research with Holm Altenbach, Honorary Doctor of NTU «KhPI», foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, professor of the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg (Germany).
The conference promoted the exchange of new ideas and stimulated international interaction in various fields of nonlinear dynamics.
Note:
The XI European Conference on Nonlinear Dynamics «ENOC-2024» was held on 22-26 July at the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) (https://enoc24.dryfta.com/index.php). This forum is held once every three years and brings together scientists and engineers in the field of nonlinear oscillations, chaotic dynamics, and many other nonstationary processes in industrial facilities, medicine, biology, etc.
