As the use of data has become commonplace for all Europeans in all aspects of their lives, European higher education and research needs advanced structures for teaching and researching data in all fields, building knowledge and new skills for new generations. To enable citizens, institutions and all stakeholders to make better decisions and find the best solutions to all the challenges facing Europe in the 21st century, UNINOVIS aims to scale up the use, exploration and management of data for everyone.

The goal of the UNINOVIS Alliance is to create and continuously improve a European university that will be fully ready for work by 2030, which involves the achievement of three main goals: to become a leading European university in the use, study and management of data in all academic fields in order to keep Europe on at the forefront of digital processes and enable Europeans and the world to use intelligent data-driven tools and methods, to create new knowledge through research and teaching that is linked to and applied in response to European needs; to build a beacon of higher education and research, promoting modern pedagogy and innovation to transfer knowledge to all communities around, with different educational spaces, interdisciplinary paths and with the aim of sustainable development, employment, industrial and economic prospects; to create a trans-European center to increase interaction between the members of the Alliance and European society, to strengthen the potential for innovation through diversity and multilingualism, to promote European values, identity and culture, and to make European universities a daily fact close to everyone

The UNINOVIS Alliance project is based on three main long-term goals: to offer all Europeans interdisciplinary and transnational multilingual courses, innovative learning methods, international activities and stays in the fields of science, culture, sports and leisure, in order to provide new generations with the skills most useful in the face of the challenges of a globalized world and to strengthen academic, scientific and cultural cooperation in Europe for the benefit of all; to develop high-level data science research and training that is studied and applied across all disciplines to provide Europe with the necessary knowledge and skills, especially, but not only, in the context of digital transformation; the use and technical as well as human mastery of data is increasingly important and Europeans must have access to the best training in this field resulting from the best research; to create a dense and permanent European network between universities, scientific and cultural institutions, state institutions, industrial, economic, labor associations and all citizens through the dissemination of data, their processing with the help of new analytical tools, communication between participants; to optimize education and research by combining scientific, technical and professional competences with human, cultural and linguistic competences, creating new pedagogical tools so that everyone can use the university according to their needs.
