NTU « KhPI» held an International conference with the participation of scientists from Germany and Poland

The International Scientific and Technical Conference «Problems of Informatics and Modeling» (PIM-2024) was held at Kharkiv Polytechnic. The 24th scientific forum was attended by scientists from Germany, Eritrea, Poland, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine. About 100 reports were submitted to the conference by more than two hundred participants from more than thirty higher education institutions, companies and enterprises. The event was organized by the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» and the
Odesа Polytechnic National University
. The Organizing Committee of the scientific forum was headed by Professor Magomediemin Gasanov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of NTU «KhPI». The PIM-2024 conference was held in a mixed format – online and offline.

Professor Oleksandr Zakovorotnyi, Head of the department of Computer Engineering and Programming of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of NTU «KhPI», was elected Deputy Chairman of the conference organizing committee. The organizing committee also included: Director of the G.E. Pukhov Institute for Modelling in Energy Engineering, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Mokhor; Rector of the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy, Professor Viktor Kovalev; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Professor Bakhtiyar Khudayarov; Professor of the Department of General and Applied Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University , Vitaliy Pavlenko, Professor of the Department of Computerized Systems and Software Technologies at Odesa Polytechnic National University, and many other distinguished scientists.

Scientists from 16 cities of Ukraine, Germany, Eritrea, Poland, and the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the PIM-2024 conference. These are: Stuttgart, Poznan, Tashkent, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Kropyvnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Lutsk, etc.

Their reports were devoted to the analysis of transition processes in the electrical circuits of a mechanical robot; analysis of the operational readiness of the electronic subsystem of drones; neural networks in the context of simulation modeling in mechanical engineering; modeling and creation of a new generation of shearers for underground mining of thin coal seams; optimization of parameters of numerical implementations using surrogate modeling, etc. This year, scientists from the Research Center for Modeling Technologies of the University of Stuttgart (Germany); Poznan University of Natural Sciences (Poland) and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (Republic of Uzbekistan) submitted their reports to the conference.

As the event organizers emphasized, the forum has once again become a great opportunity for its participants to learn something new in the field of modern information technology and modeling, and to share their own experience. They noted that, despite the martial law in Ukraine, the number of conference participants is growing.

 Note:

The 24th International Scientific and Technical Conference «Problems of Informatics and Modeling» was held on 21-23 September 2024 at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and its sports and recreation center in the Kharkiv forest park. It was organized by: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute», Odesa Polytechnic National University, G.E. Pukhov Institute for Modelling in Energy Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, V.M. The forum unites the following areas: «Information Technologies»; «Computer Networks and Systems, Elements and Devices of Computer Engineering and Control Systems»; «Application of Mathematical Modeling in Science, Technology, Medicine and Economics»; «Diagnostics, Control and Reliability of Digital Devices and Systems»; «Neurocomputers and Neural Networks»; «Pattern Recognition and Image Processing»; «Soft Computing in Informatics, Modeling and Management; Telecommunication Systems, Networks and Technologies»; «Intelligent Medical Decision Support Systems»; «Automation of Technological and Production Processes»; «Computerized Mechatronic Systems»; «Modern Information Technologies in Content Creation and Video Game Development».

The International Conference «Problems of Informatics and Modeling» was founded in 2000. Its first organizer was NTU «KhPI», the Department of Computer Science and Programming (now the Department of Computer Engineering and Programming). For the first 10 years it was held at Kharkiv Polytechnic. Since 2010, the conference has been co-organized by the Regional Higher Educational Institution «Crimean Humanitarian University» (Yalta), where it has been held for 5 years. Since the beginning of the occupation of Crimea in 2015, the scientific forum has been co-organized by the Odesa National Academy of Communications named after A.S. Popov and held at the recreation center of the higher education institution «Electron» in the settlement of Karolino-Buhaz, Odesa region. Starting from 2021 and up to the present, the conference is co-organized by the Odesa Polytechnic National University.
