Scientists from the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institut» took part in the 7th International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Mechanical Engineering «InterPartner–2025.» Participants from different countries discussed innovative solutions in the field of mechanics, mechanical engineering, digital modeling methods, and production optimization. Professor Ruslan Kryvobok, head of the Research Department at NTU «KhPI», spoke at the conference, which was launched at Kharkiv Polytechnic more than 30 years ago. He talked about the 140-year history of Kharkiv Polytechnic and the achievements of its outstanding scientists. There was also a presentation of the modern achievements of NTU «KhPI»: the Innovation Campus, the innovation ecosystem, the startup center «SPARK», etc. The forum «InterPartner–2025» was held at the Polish University of Technology (Kielce) and was dedicated to the memory of the conference founder, the outstanding scientist of the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,» Professor Anatoliy Grabchenko.
At the 7th International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Mechanical Engineering «InterPartner–2025», NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» was represented by the head of the Research Department of NTU «KhPI», Professor Ruslan Kryvobok, and his deputy, Professor Georgy Lisachuk. The scientists conveyed greetings to the forum participants from a member of the conference organizing committee, Professor Yevgen Sokol, Rector of NTU «KhPI», and Professor Andriy Marchenko, Vice-Rector, and emphasized the importance of international scientific partnership for Ukraine, especially in the context of martial law. In his plenary report, Professor Ruslan Kryvobok spoke about the 140-year history of Kharkiv Polytechnic and its current status as one of Ukraine’s leading technical universities. He noted that even during a full-scale war, NTU «KhPI» continues its active scientific activities. The scientist reported that the volume of research has increased significantly, and the budget for scientific projects amounted to about €2.5 million. Despite serious damage to the infrastructure of Kharkiv Polytechnic University from russian rocket attacks: the sports complex and the U-4 academic building, damage to more than 270,000 m² of university buildings, the loss of laboratories, students, and staff, the scientific and pedagogical community of NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic University» continues its research and high-quality training of specialists.
Professor Kryvobok highlighted the achievements of distinguished scientists and graduates of the university, including:
- creation of the first helicopter in the United States by Georgi Botezat, the first doctor of science in the field of aviation (1922);
- the first splitting of a lithium nucleus, carried out by academicians Kirill Sinelnikov, Alexander Leipunsky, and their colleagues (1932);
- Development of the legendary T-34 tank and its diesel engine by design engineers Alexander Morozov, Mikhail Koshkin, and Konstantin Chelpan.
The speaker made a special mention of Professor Anatoliy Grabchenko, who made a significant contribution to domestic science and the development of international scientific cooperation at NTU «KhPI».
Scientists from Kharkiv Polytechnic presented the latest achievements of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» to their colleagues from around the world. These include: the creation of an Innovation Campus, whose IT specialist training program took second place in Europe in the prestigious QS–Wharton Reimagine Education Awards in 2022; an innovative ecosystem that includes research in the fields of artificial intelligence, energy, new materials, defense technologies, and AR/VR laboratories; the SPARK startup center, a technology park, etc. Forum participants were very interested in hearing about the active cooperation between NTU «KhPI» and leading universities and organizations in the US, Germany, Poland, and China, as well as partnerships under the auspices of NATO and participation in the Horizon Europe program.
Conference participants discussed innovative solutions in the fields of mechanics, mechanical engineering, digital modeling methods, and production optimization. Following the forum, agreements were reached on further deepening international cooperation, and plans were outlined for the development of joint scientific projects and the exchange of experience between partner universities. The organizers of «InterPartner–2025» noted that the conference will continue to be an important platform for supporting young researchers and strengthening international scientific cooperation.
Note:
The 7th International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing Processes and Mechanical Engineering «InterPartner-2025» was held at the Polish Technical University (Politechnika Świętokrzyska) (Kielce) on 23-26 September, 2025. The forum was organized by the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,» the National University «Odessa Polytechnic,» Sumy State University, the Technical University of Kielce (Politechnika Świętokrzyska, Poland), and the Georgian Technical University (Tbilisi). The event is held annually in different cities of partner countries, which contributes to the expansion of international scientific cooperation.
The conference «InterPartner–2025» was dedicated to the memory of Anatoliy Grabchenko, an outstanding scientist in the field of metal cutting, a talented teacher at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,” a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, and a professor of technical sciences, who passed away in June 2022. Anatoliy Ivanovich was the founder of this forum and headed the M. F. Semko Department of Integrated Mechanical Engineering Technologies at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» for almost 40 years. In 2025, the scientist would have turned 90 years old.
The Forum «InterPartner» was launched at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» and has remained a significant event for the Ukrainian and international scientific community for many years. The forum focuses on issues of production engineering and related fields, in particular, mechanical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, quality control, etc. The best reports of the forum participants are traditionally published in the prestigious international scientific journal Springer.
