Pavlo Brin, a professor in the Department of Management at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute,» gave an open lecture to students and faculty at King Danylo University in Ivano-Frankivsk. The lecture focused on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. The event was conducted in English.
Pavlo Brin, a professor in the Department of Management at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics, Management, and International Business at the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» (NTU «KhPI»), gave a public lecture at King Danylo University in Ivano-Frankivsk on the current challenges facing corporate social responsibility in business. The topic of the presentation was «Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility: From Philanthropic Activities to a Source of Sustainable Competitive Advantages.» The lecture was given in English and generated significant interest among students and faculty. In his presentation, Pavlo Brin explored the evolution of corporate social responsibility concepts, highlighted the role of sustainable development in modern business strategy, and explained how corporate social responsibility becomes a source of competitive advantage. He also presented the results of his own research, their practical significance for business, and approaches to communicating socially responsible initiatives.
«In today’s conditions, socially responsible business is effectively the only viable model for entrepreneurial activity. Being responsible is not just about values, but also about profit. Our research in Ukraine shows that implementing socially responsible approaches in business contributes to long-term growth in corporate profitability,» noted Pavlo Brin.
The event served as an example of effective academic collaboration between higher education institutions and further evidence of Kharkiv Polytechnic’s active participation in the development of Ukraine’s modern educational landscape.
