On International Student Day, November 17, the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education of NTU «KhPI» organized the online event «My Ukraine». It was attended by more than eighty foreign students from fourteen countries of the world who wrote the dictation in Ukrainian. The event was aimed at supporting Ukraine. Thus, foreign students had the possibility to test their level of mastery of the Ukrainian language, deepen their knowledge, and learn more about the culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people.
Foreign students of Kharkiv Polytechnic represented the following countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Lebanon, India, Mongolia, Libya, USA, and Turkmenistan.
“Writing a dictation is not just a possibility to test knowledge, but a national action uniting foreign students with Ukrainian students,” says Dmytro Kudii, director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education of NTU «KhPI». — And today, in the conditions of war, this action has acquired special significance. We are fighting for the right of our country and people to exist, and language is the DNA of the nation.”
The organizers of the event noted the following students who showed the best knowledge of the Ukrainian language: EMRE MELEKOFGLU from Turkey (gr. КН-221ia.e), ZAGHAR ADNANE from Morocco (gr. КН-220iб.e), YUSUFF QUADRI BABATUNDE from Nigeria (gr. MIT-219iв.e), Alexander Tagan from Mongolia (gr. ХТ-122гi), ARSLAN CAGATAY from Turkey (gr. СГТ-419ia), AGALYYEV АGАLY from Turkmenistan (gr. KH-919ia), HIDRANI AYOUB from Morocco (gr. E – 319ib) and BOUQRIAA AYOUB from Morocco (gr. E-M221ia).
Note:
The event took place on November 17, organized by the Department of the Ukrainian Language of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Education of NTU «KhPI» under the leadership of the head department of Svitlana Chernyavska. Senior teacher Mykola Zaveryushchenko and senior teacher Maryna Lukhina took part in the dictation.
